FERNAND ET LILY — Local services in Marseille

We found Fernand and Lily by chance in the summer when visiting Marseille. After disembarking Le Petit Train, we stumbled upon an interesting venue immediately around the corner which turned out to be Ferdinand and Lily. We only wanted drinks and were initially attracted by the outdoor seating. The drinks were fine and the host was very hospitable, bringing olive oil samples on bread for my wife and I to taste. He also told us about the heritage of the business and how it was founded by his grandfather. The business stocks many local, artisan products which we found to be a unique collection which opened up some genuine tastes of Marseille. I recently cleaned out my wallet and found the business card of Fernand et Lily and was reminded of this small gem of a shop. I highly recommend a visit. Julien, the owner, was very knowledgeable and kind about the local products; you can tell he has a real passion for the artisanry of everything. I left with a smoked salmon!! I was here in January and lucky enough to find it still opened! Feeling like finding treasure. All the local produces.
