XOCOALT — Local services in Nice

Customer service is so important to me when going to a store or restaurant. Well, we went to Xocoalt chocolate store this afternoon 10/23/24. We were greeted a cold “bonjour” from the middle-aged male employee (owner?) who immediately turned his back from us and said nothing else. He did not offer to help at all. He may be busy but he could have been more cordial. No smile, just cold. And when I asked to taste another chocolate after tasting just one, he was curt and said “if I have to have customers taste all, then I’d lose/close business.” WOW!!! Unprofessional!!! We wanted to leave then but he’s lucky my friend asked me to buy a box from this specific store. Improve your customer service, monsieur! You’re not the only chocolate store in Nice!!! I have had good chocolate, and I have had some great chocolate. THIS is EXCEPTIONAL chocolate. What a great experience. We needed gifts for colleagues and dog sitter and Googled chocolatiers and decided to check out this place. I am SOOOO glad we did. As soon as we walked in, the fantastic aroma of quality chocolate hit us. I took one look around and was truly like a kid in a candy store! Every assortment was so exquisite in sight. A chocolate haven. For those who truly appreciate the taste of excellent quality of chocolate. A delicate preparation, you get to meet the Chef himself if you’re lucky too. I would come back again for more for sure. Plus wonderful service and i got to taste their ice cream for free, a pure light and intense taste of chocolate, light in texture, yet intense in flavor.
