My husband and I just arrived in Nice and were fortunate to make it to Paper Plane, a vegan restaurant, for lunch before they closed at 3 pm. I honestly don't know exactly what the names are of the dishes we ordered because our French is not the best but everything was delicious. We ordered a dish that had a vegan salmon, avocados, pomegranate seeds and red onion over a delicious pancake (like a thick slice of bread) and all coated with a delicious sauce. We also ordered a cannoli that was filled with veggies, vegan cheese, and pieces a steak substitute smothered in a delicious tomato sauce. We couldn't help but order a sweet version of the avocado dish as it used a similar base of a thick delicious pancake and was topped with roasted pineapple (yes roasted), fresh pineapple, pineapple ice cream and two delicious sauces. We also ordered a croissant because why not it's vegan and it was delicious. The service was excellent. The abiance was lovely. We enjoyed every minute of our time at...

The food came and it was tiny (!!) portions. You have to order 2-3 as a single person to get full. Nothing special in taste, rather boring. The drinks did not come at all. We were not even asked if everything was okay. We ate the yogurt bowl with a fork.
When paying, the drinks were included and we were asked if everything was good. We tried to explain that the drinks did not come. Unfortunately, the waitress did not understand a word of English and there was no willingness to understand us. Instead, we were interrupted in our explanation and were still charged the full price. After a colleague was there to help, at least we only paid for the food.
Our first day in Nice thus unfortunately began with a really bad experience and the mood was...
Read moreVisited here last Sunday afternoon. The menu you can find online isnt applicable or updated for Lunchtimes - they now have a set menu which is €29 per person, without any options aside from your beverages being available.
The food was delicious, however the quantity was far too much. Having only visited for brunch, it felt more like a buffet and youre not made aware of the menu or its cost until youve sat down at which point its a bit awkward to leave.
The food itself was a variety of breakfast followed by lunch plates, however looking around hardly anyone could finish the food they were given.
A normal downsized menu would probably work better and more honesty with the costing would be useful (the menu states its a €24 cost per head however a €5 mandatory service charge seemed to have been added when I visited).
Unlikely to return but glad I did as a one off as the food was still quite nice...
