During our stay in Sainte-Anne, we were googling food we could eat. Based on the good reviews this place had we decided to have lunch there. We ordered the Satay, the curry and the fish tartare for 3 people to share. Let me tell you the food did not disappoint. Everything was delicious and homemade. She (the owner) is extremely sweet. We didn’t have money on us to pay cash (thinking we could pay by card), she told us to go home eat and not worry about retrieving money and rushing back to pay. So, we did go back to our airbnb, had an amazing lunch and then finally managed to find an atm to retrieve some money to pay her. She even refused tip, which she deserved plenty. Overall, this is a must-try if you are in Sainte-Anne and looking for GREAT FOOD.

Aujourd’hui c’était curry de ouassous au lait de coco et gnocchis de patate douce avec pesto créole et gouda… nous nous sommes régalés, les assiettes étaient vides malgré des portions sincèrement généreuses. En en dessert, un gâteau nantais revisité, incroyable lui aussi. Le tout pour un prix + que correct avec lequel il est difficile de rivaliser. N’hésitez plus !

Plats fait maison, très gentille et réactive, vous pouvez payer directement sur place en espèces ou par carte. N’hésitez pas ! ( La carte change alors avant de vous décidez demander la carte actuel sur whatsapp)

Planned on being in Sainte-Anne over lunch time. Needed a place to eat. Checked Google Maps for restaurants in the area. Based on its review average, Thi Gwada looked very promising.

Contacted the proprietress via WhatsApp (+590 690 60-2836). Found she cooks out her home for take-out only. Has a weekly menu. And takes orders over the same app.

Placed our order and scheduled a pick-up time (she prefers orders in the morning for lunches and in the afternoon for dinners). Showed up on time. Charming and friendly, she met us at her door with the bagged order. Paid her and off we went.

Planned on a picnic lunch so brought our own utensils and plates (it’s take-out, after all).

Food-wise, the Tartare de Thon Croustillant was sublime. The Columbo de Poulet – Riz was so flavorful. Lastly, the Fondant Choco Coeur coulant Chocolat blanc noix de coco was rich and decadent. If you're hating almost everything you eat on the island, give this woman a shot. You are going to have to go directly to her house, she will serve you though her porch. Must wait a few minutes as some stuff is made on the spot, she has now the mobile app to let you pay by card even!...
