As this “cave” is an easy walk from the campsite, we thought it would be nice to sample some of their local wines. Just my wife and I so quite intimate. Initially I think our host thought that we were there just for some free wine, and I’m sure there are plenty of other people who just drink the samples and leave. More than a decade, once I got a dozen bottle of wine from Obernai and could remember the unique taste of them. As I planned to visit Germany, Obernai became one of my destination.
We arrived there around 10-11 am, several customers are already there with the wine tasting. After we asked about the recommendation for the sweet wine information, we were invited to taste the wine by ourselves. The tour was so interesting and not too long. Our tour guide didn't speak a lot of English, but she tried her best and we got enough to get some of the important history.
