Zum Schnogaloch — Restaurant in Sélestat-Erstein

I invested several phone-calls (speaking French fluently) and several mails - - through their website and to a mail adres that I discovered after a good search on the internet, still till today (after 4 weeks of efforts) no confirmation received for wanting to book 2 rooms of 3 nights months ahead. ||The feeling they gave to me on the phone is that they felt annoyed that I interrupted their daily job (serving customers maybe???) that their internal communication was non existing (quote: this should be done by my chef - she is not here and is not taking it serious.. - unquote) and they are especially non-transparent as to the rooms they have " in mind" for you. So enjoy your stay in Obernai at 1 of the many other accommodations/...

We went to the Schnigaloch because it looked cozy from the outside. The first day, we didn't get a table as it was filled, so we reserved a table for the next day. As it was a rainy day, we were seated inside in the very cozy and original restaurant on the first floor. We were 3 people and 2 dogs. We were welcomed warmly, both in German (me) and English (my partner). The service was friendly, smiling and quick. The highlight was the food - it was the best we have had in the area! We had 2 types of Flammkuchen, the onion pie and the Spätzle and all was beyond expectations. Well prepared, nicely presented and very tasty. An absolute must, when you are in town. Cuando llegamos y nos dimos cuenta que el hotel no tiene parking, ni tampoco cerca de sus instalaciones, me sentí engañada. Pensé que el hotel estaba habiendo publicaciones engañosas. Eso quiere decir que empezamos mal.|Llegamos al hotel el edificio es bonito (pero muy antiguo) creo que intentan mantener lo antiguo pero no le dan mantenimiento a sus instalaciones. En la recepción prácticamente no está nadie, tienes que entrar al restaurante para decirles que vas a hacer el check in. Es verdad, no hablan mucho inglés por lo que entenderte con ellos se hace difícil. Nos facilito la llave y me enseño la habitación. La habitación que nos tocó a nosotros es amplia. No tiene enchufes a lado de la cama. La puerta del baño, es como una cortina corrediza que no llega a ser una puerta porque la otra persona te ve completamente todo lo que estás haciendo dentro por que no cierra. Se queda una apertura de 10 cm. Algo que no es agradable pues no puedes hacer tus necesidades tranquila. Por no hablar de los olores. |Por otro lado. Nos dieron toallas, había un botesito pequeño de jabón de ducha.Los colchones de la cama ya están bastantes deteriorados, mi cama tenía la forma y se hundía siempre al mismo lado, por más que me moví me llevaba a la misma posición del colchón. |Los interruptores de la luz están en la puerta de la entrada, por lo que tienes que pararte de la cama cada vez que quieras ir al baño o simplemente tener iluminación. |Las ventanas no tiene persianas solo tiene cortinas de tela. Tiene una TV. |Para el WiFi tienes que pedir en recepción la clave, te la dan en un papel, para cada teléfono te dan una clave diferente y solo para los días que estás hospedado, por cierto el WiFi a nuestra habitación no llegaba por lo que más tarde en poner la contraseña que en quedarme sin señal. La habitación tiene calefacción central.|Para estar más de dos días no lo recomiendo. Hay lugares mejores. Lo único bueno de este hotel es la ubicación. Tienen restaurante pero nosotros no...
