A hidden gem and one of Berlin’s best street food experiences!
Thaipark is an absolute must-visit if you’re in Berlin and love authentic, home-style Thai food. Tucked away in Preußenpark, this open-air market transforms into a vibrant, flavorful gathering of Thai food vendors every weekend. The atmosphere is laid-back and communal — families and friends lounging on picnic blankets, the scent of sizzling satay and fresh herbs in the air, and tables lined with colorful, freshly made dishes.
What makes it so special is the authenticity. Many of the cooks prepare traditional recipes from their regions in Thailand, and you can taste the difference. From spicy papaya salad to creamy coconut curries, crispy spring rolls to mango sticky rice — everything we tried was delicious, fresh, and incredibly well-priced.
It’s cash only, so come prepared, and be ready to wait a little at some popular stalls — it’s absolutely worth it. Bring a blanket, grab a cold drink, and make an afternoon of it. The people are warm, the food is unforgettable, and the atmosphere feels like a little slice of Bangkok in the heart of Berlin.
Highly recommend for foodies, families, or anyone looking for an authentic, local experience beyond the typical...
Read moreFor over 20 years the Berlin Thai community have been congregating in this park on weekends to hang out, cook, eat, dance and celebrate Thai food culture. Whenever people ask me what's a must place/ event to visit in Berlin, I tell them check out the Asian street food park! I‘ve been a loyal customer for a while and the food is very authentic and i bet anyone will find something to eat there! It ranges from fried chicken all over to vegan options, which is amazing if you go there as a group! If you love pad thai, mango sticky rice, dumplings and fresh papaya salad - RUN!! Here is a rundown of short facts: • from April to October, every Friday - Sunday (10 am to 8 pm) • located at Preussenpark(U Fehrbelliner Platz/U Konstanzer Str.) • no entry fee (it's basically a regular city park) • cash only!! Some stands are pricier than the others, however with 25€ i was very satiated • I suggest to go early to avoid long lines
the reason why i subtracted one star is, that the amount of trash is huge. Although they have implemented a system of reusable plates and bowls that you can return after usage it still isn’t 100% clean. If you get the chance to go there, remember to throw...
Read moreEvery year, I always visit Thai Park with friends and have a picnic together there. The food is a bit pricey. For example, a plate of papaya salad or Pad Thai could cost 7-8€. Unfortunately, many places don't really care about lunchboxes, so even if we bring our own, they still charge us the same price, even though they would charge less if they got the plates back. This is a bit unfortunate. The same goes for the cups. However, drinks are usually okay because they charge €3 for the drink and then €2 more for the cup. We need to give the cup back, but the problem is that there are a lot of beggars who collect the cups. We really need to take care of our cups because if we lose sight of them and someone takes them to collect the deposit, we don't get our money back.
The taste of the food is so-so. It's good, but the line is always really long, so I don't know if we need to go there earlier or if there's ever a good time to go because there's always a long line.
Other than that, on a sunny day, it's a really good place to hang out with friends. They have so many choices of food, and it's important to bring cash because they don't...
