Garçon — Restaurant in Berlin

It’s a charming spot to sit outside with some wine and French food. The food is good - not great, but good enough that I’ve gone back a few times. The service can be a bit surly tho. I’ve had the same waiter every time and he seems perpetually annoyed by life. Update July 2022: I really really hate it when restaurants don’t update their hours on Google maps. They’re apparently on vacation and the only notification is on the door after you’ve gone to the trouble...

Beautiful French restaurant by Wasserpilz. Nice authentic French menu with lots of choices even from other parts of Europe and all reasonably priced for Berlin. I had the Moules Mariniere and my wife had the Liver and we were both very impressed indeed. Service was great and any complaints about the toilet that I read on some reviews are groundless as they were perfectly fine. Highly recommended especially if you fancy...

Wir hatten Zwiebelsuppe, Weinbergschnecken, Coq au vin und eine Bouillabaisse die endlich mal nicht als dünne Brühe daherkam, sondern so war wie man es sich wünscht: Eine kräftige, sämige Suppe aus Meeresgetier mit viel Tomate und Safran gekocht, die Einlage aus mediterranen Fischen, Gemüsen und Garnelen. Üppig, fast ein Hauptgang. So lecker und traditionell zubereitet waren auch die anderen Gerichte. Superzartes Hühnchen in Rotwein geschmort. Alles auf der Karte Klassiker der bürgerlichen französischen Küche. Gute, passende Weinauswahl. Der Service ist sehr freundlich, schnell, kompetent und aufmerksam. Das Alles gibt es in der ungezwungenen Atmosphäre eines französischen Restaurants/Bistros . Man sitzt entspannt an Holztischen. Wir hatten einen tollen Abend. Im Sommer sitzt man draußen zum Frühstück, oder Café und Patisserie. Mittags hat die Küche auch geöffnet. Das Garcon gibt es wohl schon lang nur kannten wir es bisher nicht.
