Pizzeria Da Leona Travemünde — Local services in Lübeck

As a family of 3 we went on Easter Monday to have dinner. It was not the weather we expected for our vacation in the Ostsee but the food here, as described by everyone else in the reviews did not disappoint us at all! In fact we enjoyed every bit of our food and every sip of the delicious wine. When the bill was asked, we were rudely told no options of paying by EC card and the guy ignorantly said „we don’t even have a card reader“! I had to walk to the nearest ATM in pouring rain to get cash to pay for our dinner. It was such a bad ending to a beautiful evening. It would have been super helpful if the person had informed us before taking the order that no card payment is possible. I did look through the website, did not find anywhere where it said that they only accept cash.

So travelers/tourists who happen to decide to try this restaurant and their delicious food, please be aware that they accept no card payment and carry sufficient cash.

And the people working at the restaurant, please do inform your customers in advance that only cash is accepted before you take the order or even better put a big sign out front where the customers can see it...

New place with nothing but good reviews. So I will add another superb rating to this nice place. Excellent service aims to please your palate. I like pizza and pasta and we had both. We were delighted with such perfection and simplicity at the same time. Not too salty, big enough portions, finest fresh and wholesome ingredients and alcoholic drinks too. Pizza was true Napoli style, nice crust, fresh ingredients. Pasta cooked al dente with little peppers and fresh grated cheese...

Wir wurden sehr nett in Empfang genommen und durften uns aussuchen, ob wir drinnen oder draußen sitzen möchten. Kellner sehr freundlich und aufgeschlossen.

Essen war gut. Nicht sehr gut. Die Pizza Margheritha war sehr groß und hatte einen sehr leckeren Teig. Echte Italienische Pizza! Nur haben ein paar mehr Gewürze gefehlt, die das Geachmackserlebnis vervollständigen.

Die Lasagne war von der Menge her genau passend. Auch hier fehlten für den perfekten Kik noch Gewürze. Ansonsten ebenfalls sehr lecker.

Gerne hätte ich noch ein Dessert genommen, leider gab es nur Panacotta und Tiramisu zur Auswahl.
