I had a fantastic experience at Ftenagia Beach in Halki Island, Greece. The small bay provided a peaceful and family-friendly atmosphere, perfect for a relaxing day by the water. Came here from Kamiros Skala, Rhodes. This is the best beach for snorkeling I could find for my entire stay in Rhodes. Crystal clear water, calm sea because of the surrounding islands acting like natural barrier, few people on it because it's about a 20 min walk from the port. Definitely recommend for any snorkeling enthusiasts out there, not so much for people looking for big sandy beaches. Also bring water shoes as there are lots of rocks. Pretty nice experience. The water was clear, the sea was calm and the beach fairly clean. I visited off season, so there weren't many tourists and it was just me and my wife. The beach itself is 10 meters long, or even less. It's really rocky, so a pair of sea shoes will be helpful. The seabed wasn't that interesting, and there's hardly any life to watch underwater, but it is safe to snorkel even if you're inxperienced.
