Extremely disappointing experience at Cycle World KR Puram.
I visited this store twice before purchasing cycles for my kids. The first visit was on a Sunday — only an assistant was present, and he had no idea how to assist or guide a customer. I left without any help. I returned the next Saturday after doing my own research. This time, their central manager, Anush, was available, but even he couldn’t understand my requirements or recommend a suitable cycle.
So, I decided to explore other branches. I visited the Cycle World at Whitefield and Electronic City — though helpful, the cycles they suggested didn’t suit my needs.
On my way back, I stopped at the Marathahalli branch, and that changed everything. Mr. Srikanth was friendly, knowledgeable, and understood my requirements clearly. Based on his suggestions, I ended up buying two Firefox Typhoon cycles (though my budget was within 20000) - each originally priced around ₹33,000 but available at a discounted price of ₹25,000. The cycles had features like hydraulic brakes, hydraulic suspension, Shimano gear system, and aluminium frame — great value for money.
Ironically, the same models were available at the KR Puram branch too, but the staff didn’t have the ability or interest to make me aware of it. That says a lot about the customer service quality.
Unfortunately, within a week, one cycle developed a hydraulic brake issue, while the other had a broken reflector and a missing mudguard screw. Since I live near KR Puram, I took the cycle with the brake issue there for service. I visited on a Sunday and was told to return on a weekday. So I returned and handed over the cycle on Friday; they diagnosed it as air bubbles in the hydraulic fluid.
When I went to collect it the next day, I was informed that the brake was "temporarily" fixed but warned that if the issue recurs, I should not return there - I'd need to go to the Marathahalli branch since I purchased it there. I reminded them that Cycle World claimed to support customers across all branches, but they insisted, "don't come here again for warranty-related matters."
This was extremely disappointing — the cycle was barely a week old. I also requested a replacement reflector for the damaged, but was told it wasn’t available. For two small screws needed for the mudguard, I was asked to pay ₹15, with no gesture of goodwill or customer care. Imagine that — after spending ₹50,000, they don’t want to take ownership of after-sales service within a week of purchase!
The staff's attitude was unprofessional and dismissive. This kind of attitude shows complete lack of customer sensitivity, professionalism, and ownership. If the staff at KR Puram had been even slightly capable of understanding customer needs, I would have purchased the cycles from them — the same models were right there. But due to their poor approach, I had to run around multiple branches and still face indifference after buying.
Final takeaway: Your product may be good, but without the right people, your brand suffers. Employees who lack empathy, communication, and basic service sense will only harm your business. Hire people who understand and value the customer that's how businesses grow...

I have serviced my hybrid bike twice in the past & it was decent and good. I have a Triban RC 500 cycle for which they don’t have the brake pad, I ordered online and took to the shop for fixing it. But got to know that they don’t do any petty/piece works which was shocking and requesting to do a general check up in which they will help fixing the purchased brake pads. You have multiple branches if you are there for only selling cycles & doing major servicing not helping to fix minor issues for your customer I don’t think this will attract customers & seems you push customer to book a package of room where you just went for a cup of tea.
