Due to the contract awarded by the Government of Canada, VFS Global will provide Canadian visa application support services through a network of Canada Visa Application Centres.

This global network of Canada Visa Application Centres will provide increased access and enhanced administrative services to applicants through a consistent service delivery approach, which will also support biometric collection.

The Canada Visa Application Centre will provide exclusive service for the Government of Canada, and is authorised to accept applications for all temporary resident categories (visitor visas, study and work permits) and travel document applications from Canadian permanent residents in India.

The Canada Visa Application Centre is authorised to provide administrative support services, such as scheduling appointments, collecting visa applications, enrolling biometrics and returning passports in sealed decision envelopes to applicants.

The Visa Application Centre only provides general information and administrative services related to temporary resident applications, including study and work permits, as well as travel documents for permanent residents of Canada. The Visa Application Centres is not authorised to provide any information, or respond to any inquiries, regarding permanent resident applications and Canadian consular services. This is one of the worst VFS offices I have visited so far. I have previously visited VFS offices in New Delhi and Hyderabad that has professional staff. VFS chandigarh folks are living in stone age. They ask for a physical copy of appointment letter just for their official purpose. How come they don't have that details in their system, if they themselves had sent the appointment letter to applicants. The staff at the entrance itself just persuade applicants to buy their premium service (a guy Chetan there was holding up the queue to persuade every single applicant to buy it. The make applicants afraid, explaining that they will take care of small/ big size requirements of xerox copies. How the hell size of xerox matters :-( ) I did not know that they entertain walk-in till 3 PM, and I reached there 3:05 PM (which I should have known), but that guy tells me to but premium service or come next day for it. I visited there next day, because I would not pay RS 16000 for that on-required service. I tweeted @VFSGlobalCare, and they ask me to send them message privately with more details. The message does not go through and they did not reply back on twitter. I believe it is time for a better alternative service that the embassies...

I am a foreigner thst vidits chandigsrh every couple of months and goes to elante mall to purchase various items. Till now all was ok. But they recently ooen a store named Celio a nd i went to buy a naruto shirt and lowers fir my son. I used my ameeican express ro pay. When i reached home the pants do not fit my son so next day went to return. The store manager Devesh said they do not do refunds only credit at stire. This is not written not on receipt nor at store. I said its law to refund client and to post refund policy. He did not return my money and made me keep an item thst does notfut. As a consumer i feel i just been scammed abd abused. I am outraged that elante would rent out a space to a 0 company like celio where they take advantage of innocent clients and defraud them. All merchants must have clear return exchNge and refund policies. It is unfair that i trudted a transaction that is common pravtice and now must keep an item thst does not fit. This compsny Celio is not up to par with the reputstion of elantes merchants and should notbe allowed to do scams in elante...
