Had been wanting to visit this food hub for long. Finally made it on a weekend. To my horror, the waiting period was 1 HOUR. In addition, they do not accept online reservations over the weekends. After an hour long wait, my disappointment due to the waiting turned into a delight, after I had my grub here.
We had the non veg Buffet, and without shadow of a doubt, it was worth wait. A glimpse of what there on the menu :-
Welcome Drink - They around four options. We chose Virgin Mojito & Ice Tea. Virgin Mojito was nice & refreshing. Sugar in the Ice Tea was on the higher side. They can certainly reduce the sweet there.
Starters :-
Murg Tikka - Juicy & tender. Well marinated & tasty indeed.
Mutton Seekh Kebab - It tasted just about average. Nothing earth shaking. Decent.
Fried Fish - Crunch & crispy. Try it with the white mayo sauce.
Chicken Dimsums - Tender & juicy. Just the right ingredients. Served with sweet chilly sauce. Tasted nice.
Grilled Prawns - Adequately marinated. Prawns were of good quality. Loved them.
Brazilian Churassco Chicken - The name seems big indeed. Roasted chicken with a medium spicy marination. Tasted just about ok.
Also tried the Salsa Potato & Corn Salt & Pepper. This too was delicious. Enjoyed these ones as well.
Main Course - Couldn't do justice here as we were pretty stuffed with the starters. However, just a short review of what I tried in the Main Course.
Ghost Biryani. Mutton Biryani with nice tender peices of Mutton. Pretty flavourful indeed. One can taste the Gulaab Jal instantly, which blended well with the Biryani. Would have taken a second serving, incase I wouldn't have stuffed myself with Starters.
Mutton Rogan Josh - Mildly spiced gravy with tender & succulent pieces of Mutton. They didn't go wrong with this one.
Murg Butter Masala (Pardon me for not writing the correct name of the dish). Tasted like typical Butter Chicken. Gravy was slightly sweet. Goes well with your Roti & Rice.
Dessert - Not Galore of options there, however, whatever was there on the menu was pretty good.
Red Velvet Cake. Less of cream, more of cake. Decent enough.
Gulab Jamun. They didn't go wrong with this one.
Moong Dal Halwa. Nicely prepared. Lot of ghee floating there. The fitness freaks might like to avoid this one.
Vanilla Ice cream. Nothing to boast about this one.
There were more desserts but I was full to the brim & hence didn't try.
Overall, a hearty experience with a hearty meal. Highly recommended to one & all. Do go there with a huge appetite. You can skip the dinner & a breakfast prior to your visit...
Read morePirates of Grill is a popular restaurant chain known for its vibrant and quirky pirate-themed ambiance and its focus on grilled cuisine. Having recently dined at one of their locations, I can confidently say that the experience was a delight for both the senses and the taste buds.
As I entered the restaurant, I was immediately transported into a world of pirate lore. The decor was meticulously crafted, with wooden beams, barrels, and nautical elements adorning the walls. The staff members were dressed as pirates, adding to the immersive atmosphere and creating a sense of whimsy.
The menu at Pirates of Grill offered an extensive selection of grilled dishes, ranging from succulent kebabs to juicy steaks and sizzling seafood. I opted for the "Captain's Platter," a generous assortment of grilled meats and vegetables. Each item was perfectly cooked, bursting with flavors and tender to the bite. The grilling technique used by the chefs ensured that the dishes retained their juiciness while imparting a delightful smoky char.
Service at Pirates of Grill was commendable. The staff was friendly, attentive, and well-versed in the menu, making recommendations based on personal preferences. The food arrived promptly, and the presentation was visually appealing, further enhancing the dining experience.
The restaurant also boasted a well-stocked salad bar, featuring an array of fresh vegetables, dressings, and condiments. The salad options were diverse and provided a refreshing contrast to the grilled dishes.
One minor drawback was the noise level, as the restaurant tends to get quite crowded during peak hours, leading to a bustling and energetic atmosphere that may not suit those seeking a more intimate dining experience.
In conclusion, Pirates of Grill offers a unique dining adventure with its captivating theme and delectable grilled cuisine. The quality of the food, attentive service, and immersive ambiance make it a worthwhile destination for food enthusiasts and...
Read moreWe will never come back. The service was terrible, and the manager was sitting with the chef near the bar drinking. When i complained, he sent another manager over.
The host never explained the concept of the restaurant to us, and being our first time, we had no idea what to expect. No one took our drink order until i complained to the manager while he was drinking by the bar. The server didn't bring us all the starters on the menu, just the ones that they were trying to get rid of. It was just my wife and i am they brought about 10 skewers each of the chicken and prawns. No one could answer simple questions about the concept of what we should be getting, and when i went to complain to the manager, he stood up from the table where he was drinking, and stumbled a few times as if he was drunk. When i asked him if he had been drinking, he said no and walked away and sent another manager named Ajay. The host then came over to argue with me that he explained everything, and he lied and said i refused the starters.
The host was even handling food items without washing hands or the use of gloves. We observed the host seating guests and then open the pani puri water with his hands. I am shocked that no level of hygiene standards are kept by such a restaurant chain.
I am from the hospitality industry in the US, and was expecting a higher level of service and respect, but i was shocked that the staff was flat out lying to the customer's face, and the manager couldn't even stop him.
We couldn't even eat the main course because the tray was being refilled at 6:00 pm. We were told to wait 20 minutes. We were already running late at that point, and we just asked to pay for what we consumed. The manager said there was no charge and we left. We will never return to a place with such bad service, lack pf training of the staff, and where the manager sits at the bar drinking instead of running the restaurant.
This location is in serious need of retraining and new...
