I recently dined at Urban Cafe at Hayat Regency Chandigarh to celebrate my birthday on May 23rd, and I must say that the entire experience was nothing short of a disappointment. From the moment I made reservations until the billing process, the service provided by the staff was utterly unsatisfactory.

Firstly, I had to go through 15 different front desk agents just to inquire about my reservation. This lack of coordination and communication was truly frustrating. Furthermore, upon arrival, there was no host present to greet us, leaving us feeling unwelcome and ignored.

The troubles did not end there. For the first half of the meal, our table was completely neglected. There was no server assigned to look after us, and as a result, our special request regarding my birthday note on the reservation went unnoticed. It was disheartening to be left out and have no one taking care of our needs. Even something as basic as watering the table was neglected, as they simply left a water bottle without providing any attention or service throughout the meal.

Moreover, the buffet food was consistently cold, which severely impacted our dining experience. Despite bringing this issue to the attention of the server, no action was taken to replace the appetizers or replenish the empty buffet dishes. This lack of attentiveness and disregard for our satisfaction was deeply disappointing.

To make matters worse, the billing process was unnecessarily time-consuming, and the managers seemed utterly confused and unprepared. Even after providing them with all the necessary details of our coupons, they struggled to handle the situation efficiently. This level of incompetence and disorganization is simply unacceptable for a restaurant of this caliber.

Regrettably, the poor service at Urban Cafe not only affected our experience on the day but also had severe consequences afterward. Unfortunately, a few of our guests fell ill with food poisoning the very next day, likely due to the spoiled food that was served. This is an alarming indication of the restaurant's lack of hygiene and proper food handling practices.

I must emphasize that Urban Cafe at Hayat Regency Chandigarh has been the worst dining experience I have encountered, not only at this particular Hayat location but in the city as a whole. The quality of both the food and service fell far below expectations, leaving me thoroughly disappointed.

However, I would like to give credit where it is due. The valet service at Hayat Regency Chandigarh was exceptional. The staff was welcoming, and their services made us feel at home. From handing over our car to receiving it back, everything was convenient and smooth. I would like to extend my thanks and regards to the valet team for their professionalism amidst an otherwise disappointing experience.
