PVR Nexus Mall Kukatpally, Hyderabad — Local services in Hyderabad

May be I am posting it late, but it’s my genuine review…

My friend, I & his kid of 04 years went to watch Salaar movie at PVR Nexus mall Kukatpally.

At the ticket checking point, the staff stopped us saying that children are not allowed to watch this movie because it is an A rated movie. When asked for an explanation;

Manager: This movie is A rated and children are not supposed to watch as per the instructions of CBFC (Central Board of Film Certification).

We: It’s already movie start time and what should we do now?

Manager: We are helpless and you can go for dunky with the same tickets.

We: We are hardcore fans of prabhas, working professionals who took the time and booked the tickets with all the excitement to watch our darling movie, why will we watch another movie, if we are not watching today we are not watching anything and please process for refund.

Manager: We cannot help you in refunding the amount, because you have booked tickets through book myshow app and while booking it showed you a notification that only 18+ can watch this movie before you book the tickets.

We: Asked for refund, because neither have you mentioned it anywhere in the public area where it can be easily seen, nor have you informed us anywhere in the movie promotion or advertisement that we could have been aware of it. How can you expect that every person will see that tiny notification “Only 18+ “which comes as a pop up before the movie tickets booking.

Out of all arguments, the PVR management didn’t allow us to watch the movie, nor refund & no satisfaction..left the place with huge disappointment.

My questions to the below persons are below:

Question to CBFC:

· What negative impact that movie will have on the 04 years boys after watching this movie..will he go & fight in the warfield with bigger machines & guns? · When parents are mature and have no problem and what is your objection to this? And even if it so adultery, we know how to avoid our children in watching such content and we parents are enough mature to teach our kids on how to take good & bad things

Question to bookmyshow:

· How can you expect that every person who is booking tickets from your app will see that tiny notification of 18+ only which comes as a pop up before the movie tickets booking. · How can you not mention any point in refunding the amount if the movie is not watched by the audience because of theatre or CBFC issues?

Question to PVR:

· We audience come to the theatre to get some relaxation and entertainment, and most of them will come unprepared to have some excitement filled day. And if the audience is coming with no idea, why can't you provide a happy solution rather than sending them left with disappointment? · Why were you guys asking us to go & watch dunky movie inplace of salaar?

As a result, all three of you raised your hands and said we are not liable for refunds...very well designed system of not refunding the amount...

Finally, I watched the movie on the same day in some other theatre... below is my feedback on the movie.

· Prashanth Neel with his deep story line and action packed scenes nailed it. · Prabhas, a huge & terrific dinosaur’s euphoria it was.. · Story, scenes, characters, elevations, bgm almost everything is just emotional, goosebumps and firey. · We as fans of Prabhas are damn sure that we will not find eye disturbing content and I didn’t see any adult content which can harm a children...
