Barbeque Nation - Kukatpally — Restaurant in Hyderabad

We actually booked through Barbeque nation customer care and the CS exec provided necessary details and also noted that today is my wedding anniversary and was a special evening for me at Barbeque nation. As chosen we reached Barbeque nation in forum Mall, Kukatpally. However when we reached we were made to wait for almost 30 mins even after pre booking for my special evening. After waiting for sometime we got our table and were shown to sit. We sat there waiting for someone attending us and taking our preference . But no one turned up for quite a long time. After waiting we got up and went to fetch our own food. However one of the manager who was passing by asked us to just sit at our table and went from there as he was in some hurry. We went and again waited for someone to attend us and atleast give us some water, drop us our plates and ask for our preference. As usual no one turned up. Again after a while we got up and went to fetch our food as time was passing by. We went to non veg live counter where there was no chef. Few staff from the starters pickup counter were watching us but didn't bother to help. Few even passed by but were hesitating to ask us. We approached chef at veg live counter for help and for our surprise came from his station and came to non veg live counter to make food. There was only one chef for both veg and non veg live counters. He was even giving paani poori. There were few food stations like fruits, steamed rice and few salads which were not refilled. After some 30 minutes one service associate came for our help. He was TAMAL. He was looking after tables in our section nd so he even approached us and informed us that he will be taking care of us. Felt like God heard us as we were just passing time but not having our happy time. From the time Tamal came he repeatedly checked on our food preferences nd refilled our starter. However we ate and filled our stomach but couldn't fill our hearts. Finally Tamal approached us for feed back and I've explained him . Later once of his senior came again need requested us for a positive feedback as it may affect Tamal's career at Barbeque nation. It was the fault of the management for not identifying service issues. There was good footfall in the restaurant and there was manpower crunch. Few staff were roaming like headless chicken, who could've asked when a customer is searching for something. But they were walking as they were some programmed robots. The floor manager was busy with food orders, rather than being on the floor and checking on the operation. There were less chef's in live counters. Problem is one chef making both veg and non veg dishes jumping from here to there. The food was poorly refilled and many of us waited as if we were in a queue to fetch food. Also felt the Tangdi kabab were fried in used oil. Manpower Planning was very poor as the restaurant had sea food festival and that too on a weekend, there were less staff. Didn't even get water on table to drink till asked for. The manager saw me at soup counter and asked me to just sit at my table and I'll get everything. Which was a bit harsh. "May be he has to to trained first" The associates who were behind us for a positive feedback didn't bother us in the starting. Which is more saddest part as we only run business for positive feedbacks but not positive experiences. The Customer care exec asked and noted our special day but there was no cake or celebration like they did for other guests. Then why was the details taken?? The dessert spread was also good enough but no associate available to get what you want. Tamal ran nd came to me again to give me desserts. However there was one savior of our evening. He was TAMAL. Appreciate his efforts to feed us as we wanted. He ran behind chef's to get our food done. Even when he was taken carelessly by chef's he managed to get our food. He's a good asset to the restaurant. Staff : Rating : 5 / 5 Polite towards customers.Its good that they are checking with the customers on their prefered spice level prior offering on table starters. Assigns their staff who will look after refilling the starters. Somanath was assigned to our table. Special call out to him for being attentive and for helping us to have best dinning experience.

Ambience : Rating : 5 / 5 Pleasant ambience with an aquarium at the reception desk and comfortable couches to sit and wait until you get ur time to dine in.

Parking : Rating : 5 / 5 As it is located in forum mall, it has sufficient space for parking at different parking levels.

Starters : I thoroughly enjoyed the starters served on the grill as well as the ones that are served at the table. Kaju Potato, crispy corn & Cheesy brocolli on the grill are my favourites among the starters.

Main course : Paneer biriyani, Noodles, salads, aloo ghobi, wide variety breads(butter naan, roti etc) and the curd rice with moong dal as a toppings on it all tasted awesome.

Desserts : The famous bbq kulfis of different flavours ,Gulab jamun, payasam, moong dal halwa, different pastries and the seasonal fruit spread met their expectation and didn't disappoint.

As I went to the restaurant on occasion of my brother's birthday, they offered cake for the celebration. As we are not willing to cut it out there, they offered the take out of the cake when we are leaving the restaturant.

Each and every function of the restaurant shows that customer satisfaction is their priority.
