From my visit to Woodfire & Wings Clondalkin, it's clear this spot is a gem for casual dining with a flair for comfort food done right. The establishment exudes a cozy ambiance, perfect for a relaxed meal.
Upon entering, the tantalizing aroma of wood-fired cuisine whets the appetite. The restaurant's commitment to quality is evident in their wing dishes, which are the highlight of the menu. One platter boasts glossy, saucy wings, coated in a rich, sticky sauce that glimmers under the warm lighting, promising a succulent bite. Another dish presents wings with a golden-brown crispness, likely hinting at a satisfying crunch.
The flavors do not disappoint; the sauce-laden wings have a depth of flavor that only slow-cooking in a thoughtful blend of spices can achieve. They are complemented by the crisp wings that satisfy the palate with their pure, unadulterated chicken taste, elevated by the smokiness from the woodfire.
Service at Woodfire & Wings is prompt and friendly, adding to the experience. The staff are keen on recommendations, displaying a knowledge of the menu that ensures you find a dish to suit your taste.
While it was just a takeaway experience, the quality of the food speaks volumes about their dine-in service. The only downside was that the food's addictive quality had me wishing for just a few more wings in the order.
In summary, Woodfire & Wings Clondalkin is a must-visit for wing aficionados and those looking for hearty, flavorsome food with the comforting embrace of a casual dining experience. It's a culinary haven that marries the art of slow cooking with the authenticity of woodfire flavors. My four-star rating is a testament to their excellent food, with a nudge for that extra wow factor that I am sure they are capable...
Read moreNot the best experience in W&W (Clondalkin) last night. Started off poor when I attempted to order a pint of draught Peroni and was told it was "too warm outside and the beer cooler isn't able to cool the beer enough". But I was assured the bottles of beer were ice cold. I ordered a bottle and it was room temperature.
We ordered food and have to say food was delicious (or so we thought as the time!). We ordered 4 cocktails between us and they were really nice.
We were almost finished mains and were handed the bill as was everyone else in the restaurant! This was unannounced and without requesting it. (Bearing in mind our reservation was for 9.15 and this was approx 10.30- 10.45)
We didnt even get asked if we would like to see a desert menu and when we asked if we could get another drink we were told no the bar was closed. Again we were never told by the waiting staff that the bar was closing or asked if we would like a last drink.
Fast forward a couple of hours and my wife and I were both really sick. Vomiting from 5.00am in the morning and most of today.
Have never had any issues before on previous visits so its a shame on this occasion the overall experience...
Read moreAbsolutely love this place. Prior to today I'd never eaten in only had takeaway from Tallaght branch. I'm super impressed with the restaurant in Clondalkin as much as I had been with the Tallaght takeaway. The food is delicious, you can taste the quality in the ingredients. Good portion sizes and price points too. I'm sorry my crappy camera didn't get better pictures! But the staff are all just lovely, so friendly and helpful all of them in both branches are so great. The guy who looked after is I'm Clondalkin this evening (tall guy, bald, European accent! Sorry I didn't get his name!) really epitomised excellent service and knowledge. Sometimes there's a danger when a place opens up additional branches that the quality / service / food will not reach the same standards in both venues, or over time one or both will slip, this is certainly not the case here. Both places are fab and I could see them extending the chain further it's that nice. We had classic buffalo wings, fries and the diablo pizza. All fab, the pizza was quite spicy but the honey dip on the side suggested by our waiter complemented the...
