Where to start with this company!!!! We placed an order for almost €5,000 in 3rd November 2024 for a sofa two chairs a bed and a mattress and were promised all would be delivered to us within weeks. So even though we only needed to pay a deposit we paid in FULL at the point of ordering. Within an hour of leaving the Dundalk branch the salesman called to say that the bed was not in stock but WOULD be delivered by 10th December and that the sofa was also not ready (but again would be delivered mid December. We accepted this and took receipt of the 2 chairs the following week. We noticed one of the chairs was faulty so called up and was offered a replacement but only when in stock. We then called the Dundalk office on the 10th December after we had disposed of our old bed to follow up on our order and that is when the web of false info and plain lies started. First we were told that the delivery van had caught fire whilst in Ardee so it would be a little delayed. Then we were told that the storm damage to Holyhead port was causing a further delay. My wife then called and asked to cancel the order for the bed and was told (unlawfully) by the manager Monika that a refund was NOT possible and only store credit could be offered! My wife was very upset at this and confronted her further and at one stage she actually laughed at my wife. My wife said are you actually laughing at my upset to Monika and she laughed out-loud a second time. During the call she mentioned her boss Barry so we assumed he was the store manager as she was VERY evasive when we were asking her for her title. Eventually she confirmed that she was in fact the store manager and Barry was the area manager that had informed her NOT to offer or issue a refund. When we asked to speak with Barry she refused to allow us to do so or share any contact details with us.She then said she would call back in 10 minutes (but did not). I then called the next day and was told that she would call me back later that day but again did not. The following day I did manage to speak with her and she promised that the items would be delivered the following week (this day was Friday) and that Logistics would be in touch with me on Monday to arrange delivery. I asked her several times to confirm 100% that both the bed and the sofa WERE IN STOCK IN IRELAND now and she said they were (later to be confirmed as another lie). On Monday I got a call from Logistics to say that the bed would be delivered the following Friday (20th December) and when I explained why this was another 4 days and a full week after speaking with Monika they advised us that the items had been ready for 2 weeks! Very skeptical of anything staff from this company said to us I called on Friday at 11am to confirm delivery and was told yes the bed was on the truck and we would be called before the delivery men would arrive. Then we got a call from a third party delivery guy at 16:25 saying the bed was NOT in stock and did we wanted another substitute bed. I tried to call the shop and logistics several times but could not get any reply (assuming they had either closed for Christmas or were avoiding my calls)! We had no option to take the back up bed and at 6pm two men arrived (seemingly very surprised that they had to erect the bed from the flat pack packaging). After Christmas I called to speak with Monika and asked for a discount if we kept the (cheaper) temp bed given all the disruption and inconvenience caused and the fact that this bed was no longer deemed NEW but she would only offer me a reduction of €50 (which was the difference in price between what we ordered and what was supplied temp) so no discount offered. I then said that I wish to cancel the order and she simply said "Ok, logistics will be in touch to arrange collection, and the refund would be given when collected". We were told that logistics would call us 24 hours in advance to arrange the collection of the temp bed (and exchange of the faulty chair) but then we got a call the following week saying they were 30 mins away. We were at that point on the way to Dublin due to a family bereavement so they said sorry and said that they would instruct the office to rearrange and to call a day before to schedule. We then got a call a few days later saying the drivers were at the gate but we were in Dublin attending the funeral at that stage. The following week came and went and still no contact from logistics and we are now into February and this matter still is not resolved. Considering the amount of money spent and the fact all money was paid upfront in good faith and the time off work taken by us for deliveries that never happened we were simply blown away by the stubborn attitude of the store manager not to offer a few hundred discount (particularly as it will cost them this in retrieval and to have to repackage the bed (assuming they will now try to sell this on as new?) During all of this I called to make an official complaint and was given an email address off someone who only worked in Ligistics so it shows there is no designated customer service persons so This company desperately needs to get a customer service department or designated person who is qualified to deal with customer concerns and complaints, who is sympathetic to their customer needs and can offer some sort of compensation (or at the VERY LEAST, A SORRY) Will NEVER shop here again and will be telling our story to all family and friends. i am sure that like all other unhappy customer reviews we will also get a reply saying sorry for your inconvenience, thanking us for bringing this to their attention and that they will help them to improve harder on their communications. Read moreReceived nasty surprise from Dundalk store, yes mousse leftovers .They refused to give me refund because they gave me discount in store (but I still payed 1200e)so I accepted offer to get new sofa from their Dublin store. So had to wait few days for new delivery, sofa was delivered wrapped and in good condition but I scrubbed it and disinfect it anyway. They couldn’t take dirty sofa same day when was delivered so had to wait next day for them to pick it up, and mousse droppings around child in house- not great. Worst thing was manager Monika and customer service convincing me that they are not mousse droppings and that stains are there because they had leak on their roof (right so rain went thru thick pillows and stained sofa here and there) , but when I offered to bring sample in bag they didn’t accept that generous offer. I won’t be buying there anymore, which is shame as they really do have nice stuff.
