We had a family meal here. On arrival our table was not ready so we were put in the smoking area. This was not appropriate as we had small kids with us and it was full of men drinking and smoking. We waited 30minutes there before being brought to our table where we were all squashed into a corner like sardines in a can. There was no social distancing here, people were sitting back to back and squeezing past each other. Social distancing does not apply to the owner, he was pottering around interacting with everyone, he came close and patted 1 man on the shoulder as he greeted him then shook hands wit a woman and kept holding her hand while he greeted her and wasn't even a foot apart. He came to our table a few times throughout our meal and was a bit too close for comfort. The service was poor but most of the staff were friendly. The food was nice probably could have been hotter. When we were paying our bill there was a mix up and we were being overcharged by €30 there was no talking to them they were right and we were wrong and that was it. This was very stressful having 2 autistic children with us, as if all the waiting around wasn't enough. We eventually got this sorted after fighting our case. The owner just let on he didn't realise what was going on eventhough we heard him ask a staff member what was going on then he threw his eves to heaven and walked off. I wouldn't rate this place for families or anyone who actually cares about social distancing and staying safe. There was hand sanitizer available but it was definitely 100% soap in them. Our hands went all white and soapy and sticky after using it so we had to wash it off again. We were 3 hours in the pub which is more than the legal time limit now and we left the minute we were...

I recently had a dining experience that was quite disappointing due to the behavior of one of the servers named Julie. Throughout our visit, she consistently belittled another server named John, which made the atmosphere uncomfortable and detracted from our enjoyment of the meal.

Julie frequently used derogatory names like "retard" when referring to John, looking over at us for validation as she laughed at his expense. It was apparent that we did not want to be part of this bullying, yet she persisted.

When John first led us to our table, he chose a spot that was perfectly suited for our group, as the area was completely empty. However, Julie shouted at him, "I TOLD YOU NOT TO SEAT ANYONE," before grabbing the menu from him and cramming us into a corner where there was not enough space for everyone. One of the girls had to sit awkwardly at the corner of the table.

We decided to ask John for Julie's name, and he quietly whispered "Julie," clearly intimidated. We overheard her telling him that he MUST stay even though his shift was over, and she was consistently unkind to him throughout our visit.

Her demeanor towards us was not much better when she took our order. She approached our table shortly after seating us and curtly asked, "What do you want?" When we expressed interest in dessert, she responded dismissively, saying, "Well, yeah, if you know what you want, I suppose."

Overall, Julie's behavior was unprofessional and made for a very...

It's difficult to rate this. The food was lovely, the staff friendly however social distancing a major issue for us. It was our first time out since March. I was somewhat nervous about going out at first however was really pleased initially when we were seated. Unfortunately our experience changed to extremely unpleasant and worrying when another group were seated unbelievably close to us. It would have been OK if management didn't have seats positioned between the tables but they did. One person in our group ended up with another person from the other group sitting back to back as in there chairs were touching!!! No contact details recorded by staff. No masks worn by staff. We raised our concerns with management before we left. I feel management need to step up here. Show respect for their staff, their customers and all the other pubs/restaurants abiding by all public health regulations. This blatant disregard of public health regulations is risking everyone's health and people's livelihoods. Please management sort this out. You have lovely food, lovely staff. All you need now is to do your very important part of implementing regulations. Keep us all...

We visited The Coach House Gastro Bar on St Patrick’s Day this year. We had a group of 9 so we booked prior which I would highly recommend even if you are only visiting in a smaller group as it fills quick especially on weekends. It was very busy but we still got served in about 30-40 minutes. The food was very good and here is some dishes I’d recommend that me and my family ordered: chips, chicken wings, garlic bread, steak sandwich and carbonara. The portion sizes are really big. Free ice cream comes with kids meals. Overall, great spot in Gorey lots of seats inside and a few benches outside. I will definitely be returning.

Didn't have a table booked, but they were able to git us in. Place was busy and lively for lunch time sitting. Service couldn't have been any better, pleasent and very knowledgeable about all the dishes on both menu's. When they food was served, it was well presented and certainly lived up to my expectations. So well done to the chef, it was fabulous. Top marks from me and its definitely worth a visit. Food 10/10 Service 10/10 Value 10/10

Got chicken satay with what I think was jasmine rice. Rice was amazing ,shame about the rest not much flavour at all. Had a pint of Heineken as well, it wasn't great. Staff were lovely. But if you need to use the toilet bring a peg for your nose as it absolutely stinks!
