We are from Dublin and we were recommended French’s. We arrived at the bar, 4 women, and were told to get out. The bar was empty with plenty of seats. There was no explanation & no apology. A real little gem of an old style irish pub. The atmosphere was like walking back in time.... Fantastic pint of Guinness as well. The only downside that I would suggest is maybe a little bit of repair work to some walls in the bar, holes and a lot dirt showing. I know this kind of adds to the character of the place but if repaired, it wouldn't effect...

This is a really nice pub and I believe has a loyal clientele. I have only been there twice, but on both occasions the Guinness did not taste good despite some reviews to the contrary. Perhaps it was just unlucky timing, but some pubs can manage to always have good or great Guinnes...
