Masala House Indian Restaurant — Restaurant in The Municipal District of Gorey — Kilmuckridge

We have just been to this restaurant, and had the worse experience ever. Two couples siting waiting for food over 1 hour. When we first arrived, no body came to take our order and I had to approach them. We sat for over a hour with no staff asking if we were ok and did we need anymore drinks. With in this hour three groups of tables had walked out because of the wait and the food was cold. The waiter /chef/cleaner (what ever this one man show was) was trying to serve customers while leaving a trail of food over the floor. Eventually our food arrived with out no rice, the food sat on our table and once more we were left waiting for the rice.

While trying to keep calm and hope that we can start eating soon, we now see a young girl who worked their cleaning the tables with furniture polish. So now our food is cold and we have a strong smell of furniture polish floating over our food. I have never experienced anything in my life then the service we have just received. The resturant by now is half empty where customers have just got up and walked out because of cold food, long waits, and no service. We complained about how the service from start to finish was complety shocking. Don’t do reviews normally but I’m so shocked after this experience , I had previously heard good feedback and never been so we booked meal Yesterday , total Disaster , greeted by girl that her reaction to a small question was it’s my first day rather than I’ll find out for you then waited 45 mins in complete silence for meal and no one else in restaurant , so too busy not an excuse other than their take away business . We actually could have walked out without paying unnoticed ! Food was ok, nothing to rave on about, service was something to be saved for a visit from Gordon Ramsay to have a field day to be polite . All I can say is there are still people out there that like to go out for a dining experience to enjoy not expecting royal service just basic stuff and this place will end up closed very soon the way it is. Waiting over 4 hours since original order made at approx 5:20pm.

1hr later I got the delivery and 2 meals were wrong and was told it was right but labelled wrong which is a lie. Missing 1 butter chicken

All I asked for was the butter chicken to be delivered out as its for a child and the rest is too spicy.

Waiting an additional 1hr for that butter chicken and no sign so I rang and a young sounding man answered and said it is already out for delivery. I said we'll you haven't even asked my order so I could hear him confirm with another man and he said it was sent out.

Waiting a little over 30mins and still no sign so I rang again and an man answered saying I didn't ask for the butter chicken even though I clearly did and my family witnessed me make the phone call and can confirm I did so the man assured me he will make it now and send it out ASAP. (he was extremely rude)
