Beginning our Venetian vacation with this extraordinary boat tour was the best possible choice. Captain Francesco gave us his expert commentary as he showed us around the various islands of Venice, including a lovely stroll through the unique shops in Burano and an incredible excursion at the glass-making factory in Murano. The tour provided a valuable orientation as we began our trip, and Francesco guided us on how to get the most from our stay in Venice. He even offered amazing restaurant and bar suggestions outside the typical tourist areas, which gave us a delightful taste of the local community. He also took great pains to personalize our tour based on our particular schedule and sightseeing desires. When we learned that the winery we wanted to visit in Mazzorbo was closed on the day of our tour, he arranged instead for us to have a private tasting experience at another vineyard. We went on a 3.5 hour tour around Venice with the best person we could have imagined, from letting him know my plans to propose to my girlfriend and him helping me plan it and find a restaurant for after he was incredible from the start before he even made a penny. I could tell right away it wasn’t about the money for him. His boat is the only boat like it in Venice and it was the perfect boat and most beautiful boat i could have hoped for. Lovely trip to Murano. At the glass blowing we could see the masters at work and our guide was there to explain the process and answer our questions. I think the time we spent watching was just right. We were then shown to the showroom which had some amazing creations on display, and whilst these were available for sale, we were not pressurised at all. I had understood that we just returned to Venice island straight after. However on ringing our host, he told me that they would pick whenever we wanted (up until 4pm) and we were free to spend more time on Murano looking at the shops and could stop for a drink or something to eat. This was a lovely surprise and allowed us to explore Murano further. When we were ready to leave, we rang and the boat was there in less than 5mins.
