If I could give 100 stars, I would! Federica is a treasure!! We absolutely loved our tour of Venice. Not only is Federica knowledgeable, having been a tour guide for over 20 years, she is also a conscientious mom! All at once she was engaging for our charismatic and energetic 6yo son, while intuitively recognizing when my elderly mother was needing a rest break and our son needed a re-charge, suggesting we stop for a hot chocolate and a little rest. She was patient, flexible and understanding, wholly adapting the tour to our needs, as our son skipped joyfully holding her hand. She even arranged for a private glass blowing demonstration because our son is enamored with this form of artistry. She also made a great restaurant recommendation and follow-on sightseeing suggestions at the conclusion of our tour. I couldnât give a higher recommendation! If youâre traveling with children, the tour content is fun, informative, and customizable. Iâd say itâs best for children 6+. Younger kiddos might run out of energy or lose interest before the tour ends. Thank you Federica for making our day in Venice...
Read moreWe absolutely loved our Marco Polo tour with Federica! It was the highlight of our visit to Venice. We learned so many wonderful things that we would have missed otherwise. My kids were not only engaged for the duration of the two hour tour, they were excited about everything we were seeing and learning. Federica was so inviting and fun and made it a great experience for them. She continually got down on eye level with them as she talked, she praised them for completing tasks during the treasure hunt and shared conversation with them as we walked.
As expats in Europe we travel often hoping to see many cities while weâre living here. We are always looking for new ways to keep the travel exciting for our kids and this tour was a gem that we stumbled on. The churches weâve seen will run together and the souvenirs we pick up will get lost, but I know my kids will remember Venice being something special because of the time we spent learning...
Read moreFederica from Venice Kids Tours is an artist and art historian who clearly knows and loves every inch of this city. She explained the history of Venice, its language, its lore, and the structure of its pre-Napoleon government before taking my husband and I and our two teens on a tour of both the public rooms of the Palazzo Ducale (the Dogeâs Palace), and also (literally) behind the scenes - jail cells, torture chambers, secret doors and hidden passageways are all just beyond the public view. Seriously, if you come to Venice with kids of any age you should book a tour with Venice Kids Tours. Price was reasonable, communication was excellent, and our time in all of Venice was better for having booked a single morning with them as Federica was amazingly generous with her recommendations both before and during our trip. I canât thank Venice Kids...
