San Giorgio Noleggio Con Conducente — Local services in Ferrara

By far the best day from my trip this summer was the Chianti wine tour we booked through San Giorgio. We were picked up directly from our Airbnb by Marco who was not only attentive, friendly and knowledgeable, but also a great driver and made my group and I feel completely safe and at ease.

We were picked up in Florence and driven to San Gimignano where we were able to stop for a small breakfast and explore the gorgeous town. We then made our way to the 53-acre Casa Emma vineyard where we were given a private tour by their lovely employee Ariana. She was very informative and answered any of the questions we had about the fermentation process etc.

After this, we were then sat for our wine tasting where we tried 7 varietals (all of which were fantastic) and were served a three-course lunch which included sampling Casa Emma’s olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Casa Emma were very accommodating, providing a vegetarian-friendly options for myself which was greatly appreciated. I would also like to thank Marco for calling in advance to let Casa Emma know that there would be a vegetarian in our party as we had forgotten to mention that prior to our trip.

We were able to buy bottles of the wines we tried and they traveled well - I was able to bring mine back in my suitcase with no issues or damages.

After our tasting, Marco picked us up and took us back to our Airbnb in Florence. We had such an incredible experience thanks to San Giorgio and Marco and I would highly recommend this experience to anyone who is looking to explore the Chianti region.

We used San Giogio NCC for transfer after our cruise in September. Our ship disembarked in Ravenna and we wanted to spend a few days in Venice afterwards, which is just over 2 hours away.

The service was exceptional at the very start with booking. Very prompt and attentive responses to questions. ( please keep in mind the time change if you are in North America or elsewhere! They sleep too!)

Upon disembarking, we realized we were ready to go about 30 minutes before the arranged time. We messaged our driver on whatsapp for their anticipated arrival time. The driver was already there! Perfect!

Our driver Marco, was so warm and friendly. Very professional but yet a very laid back personality. The vehicle was impeccable and clean. It was extremely spacious, very comfortable and water was provided. During our 2 hour trip, I needed to stop for a restroom break and this was not an issue. We were even treated to our first coffee upon arriving in Italy after our cruise. Thank you Marco. What a nice touch!

During our ride, we asked questions about the area, the country, the culture and many things. Marco was extremely knowledgeable and very engaging in conversation. We were also very tired and had a nap for part of the ride and he was respectful of some quiet time.

This business provided service beyond our expectations. I would highly recommend them if you are looking for a personal experience while visiting Italy in this region. Their prices are reasonable for personal car service and well worth it. We plan on returning to Italy in the future to see and experience more Italian culture. Its unfair to only give 5 stars to San Giorgio NCC, they deserve so much more. We did a multi-generation family trip and used them for an airport transfer from Milan to Bologna, a Balsamic tasting with a stop in Modena for lunch and the Enzo Ferrari museum, and a Parmesan and prosciutto tasting with a stop in Parma. Our positive experience started even before we arrived in Italy. We booked our transfer and tours over email. Each email was promptly answered and prices were upfront and clear. I even made a last minute change to the itinerary which was accommodated. Our flight arrived very early in the morning and our driver, Marco, was already there waiting. The van was very comfortable, bottled water and wifi were a nice touch. On the day of our first food tour we had a situation with our young son; which would have ruined most people's day. However, Marco showed compassion and went way above and beyond to help us, he completely turned the day around. It ended up being one of the best days of our trip.
