I had lunch at this restaurant this afternoon and I am absolutely shocked at what happened. I ordered the Hawaii poke bowl which costs €15, having waited for our lunch for over half an hour the bowl finally arrived and it was completely underwhelming. I had one piece of octopus and a piece of the tuna which is all I needed to decide that I did not want to eat the rest of my meal as I could taste and see that the fish wasn’t fresh. When the meal was over, the waiter asked me if I enjoyed my food, I apologetically told him that I did not and had not eaten any of the fish but instead a bit of the rice and edamame. He apologised and asked if he could get me anything else to which I declined. When we asked for the bill, they had left the dish on the bill. I kindly said to the waiter I did not want to pay full price for the dish because I did not eat it. Instead of listening to my point the lady at the till started shouting at me in Italian and speaking over me to her colleague. After 5 minutes of debating I said to them I will pay €10 and that is final. Their excuse for wanting to charge me for the full price is that everybody else who had ordered the bowl had enjoyed it so that meant it wasn’t bad. I decided to grab my bags and leave, as I was walking up the stairs a rather large male waiter came over to me and pushed me against the wall to stop me from exiting the premises while trying to grab my credit card from hand. He said he was going to call the police which I was happy for him to do because now not only were we dealing with me not paying the bill but also a potential assault charge. Another waiter then tried to attack my friend for looking out for me and it began to get very heated. After another 20 minutes of discussion and me asking when the police were arriving so I could explain the situation they finally suggested that I only pay €10 as if it was their idea, they told me in Italy that their response is how they deal with complaints in restaurants. Having worked in hospitality for over 5 years and visited Italy multiple times I said to him that is not how Italy works, that was just them being rude and confrontational from the beginning. Easily the worst beach club experience I’ve ever had. Which is a shame, because I was here this time last year and had a totally different experience. We arrived early this afternoon, to try and rectify a booking issue. We had booked 6 sunbeds amongst our group, and were unable to book them next to each other online. We tried to move some of the beds to all be together (at least until the other bookings arrived) and were repeatedly dismissed with a rude attitude- told it was impossible. Which was ok, we all split up and carried on. Then there was an issue with service, nobody came to help us for ages, so we ordered online through their app. Our booking confirmation said we were umbrella 10, so that’s where we sent our order (turns out we were seated at 12, not 10- which again, I don’t understand how that could even happen considering we were refused a bed reshuffle). When we let them know about the mistake- the manager told us we were the problem, pointed to the public beach, and told us to go there tomorrow. While the restaurant's location is great and the ambiance is very appealing, my overall experience was extremely disappointing due to unfriendly and unprofessional staff.

My party of three initially came for coffee and were given a table that was suitable for that purpose. However, when we decided to order food and requested to move to a different table, we were met with shocking rudeness. We first asked one waiter to change our table, and he agreed. Then, another staff member pointed us to a different table. Just as we were about to sit down, the first waiter returned, told us the table was reserved, and then said to his colleague, "They're only here for 2 burgers, so don't move them." It was shocking to hear such a comment.

I have never experienced this level of poor service and unprofessionalism before. The staff's attitude completely ruined the experience.

The food was also a major letdown. The burger was cold with cold bread and cold meat, no sauce, and was completely dry and tasteless.

I do not recommend this place and will never come again.
