Visited today (13th July 2024) and had a fab time. Opening times are 10 - 12 in the morning, and 5-7 in the afternoon. To access the viewing platform it is a proper faff, however it is possible. You need to walk right when you reach the top of the path/driveway, then left at the end of the buildings and you will see a set of double yellow doors atop some stairs ( two sets). It may be locked, however we waited around the door until eventually a nun ( who was clearly watching the cameras) to open the door. Not a word of English was spoken so may need good hand gestures, and a donation of some sort was required before she relinquished the key...
Read moreThe view from the top of the building is fantastic. I didn't notice the door the first time I walked out to the back, so I came again. This is a quiet and beautiful place. The hours posted at the stairway seem to be out of date; I'd go by the hours on the gate below and hope the door is open. The gift shop was closed both times I went; it would be helpful to have posted hours...
