I saw that this place had really good reviews so had to stop by on a quick pizza run. How to try some of the classics of southern Italy. Sfogliatella - crispy and tasty! Good amount of cream filling there as well. Only thing is felt feeling was not like proper ricotta filling that I was hoping for. Lemon Delight - this was BEAUTIFUL! The cake was soft and the lemon flavor was perfect. Refreshing and delicious! Fruit Tart - A different customer at the store recommended this while we were deciding what to get. It was super glossy and loaded with fruit as well. A creamy filling inside too which went well with the fruit.

I was searching for a nice place for breakfast nearby and so I was suggested Fiorentino by some locals who I asked for advice. It was not so easy to park around, but its complicated in general as the town is very small and rather busy. The place itself we liked a lot, it’s cosy, big variety of things to try, and I really wanted to try everything there. Waiters were polite and patient while I was asking about each pastry one by one. I the end everything I tried was very tasty, my coffee was great. I payed less then I estimated. I returned the day after and it was still tasty, friendly. Very positive experience.

Typically, when I find somewhere great I always go back and this place was no exception! From the beautiful range of patisserie on offer to the little, classically Italian Nonna who took your money as you left, this little gem was great come rain or shine. An espresso (or in my case an iced coffee) and a cannolo is nice little treat whilst travelling around the area.

lady boss did not allow me to throw rubbish in their garbage bin even though it only contained food. she literally took out the plastic bag of rubbish out from the garbage bin and told me to throw it outside. 🤷🏻‍♀️ it felt unfriendly.

we came here for breakfast and then post lunch coffee and dessert.

it's a pity because they do have decent gelati at decent prices.

edited: i thought I was being nice to write about their gelati but based on the owner's rather condemning reply, I would like to clarify a few things on my end.

1.for post lunch dessert, we had consumed 2 ice creams, coke, 2 coffees, 2 mignons. for breakfast, we consumed 2 crossiants, 2 coffees, 1 orange juice. Point to add, they don't serve lunch here. we had to go somewhere else for lunch.

2.we didn't change diapers at the bar's toilet because there is no proper changing table. my partner brought the baby back to the hotel to change his diaper. so I'm a bit perturbed about the accusation of diaper changing... as though it is a crime.

3.my 1 year old has accidentally turned off the cake display once.

4.when throwing the rubbish, no one has communicated anything except the old lady who gave me back my rubbish and told me "you cannot throw it here" in italian in angry mode. and I don't speak Italian. the explanation that she has written in the reply about separating rubbish was never communicated.

also, it wasn't a large bag of rubbish. it only contained a few broken biscuits. the bag was so "big" that it could squeeze into the tiny mouth of the tiny garbage bin near the bar. 😂

I took the bag of biscuits with me.

5.we did not prepared any outside food on their table, so I guess making a mess while eating their flakey napolitano pastries on the table is also not allowed. 😲

6.in the afternoon, it was just me reading a book and my baby sleeping in his stroller and he slept 2 hours throughout. we were not disturbing anyone and he hadn't cried.

if there has been a minimum spending for the amount of time spent at a cafe, it was not written anywhere in this cafe.

also, the place was not crowded when we were there, I was the only one with my baby sitting inside. there was not a queue of people.

so I'm not sure with her reply if I'm being judged by not spending enough money or spending too long time at the bar or because I'm a chinese foreigner. 😂

bearing in mind, we went there about 3 times before this incident happened with an expenditure of 20 - 25 euros each time. that's almost 75 euros for coffee, dessert and pastries. not sure how much more she wanted us to spend to justify sitting there for a few hours.

this is very telling of the owner's character.

also given the complaints of the owner reply, it just sounds like it is not a kid friendly place. and the only reason why I went back was because I needed to get my kid a gelato.

if you read the owner's arrogant replies to other reviews, it will deter you from stepping into the place.

never again!!! it is such a shame to see this kind of attitude and the untruths written in the...

The host is trying to be hospitable but doesn't understand anything about hospitality. It is not nice to attempt to kick out customers 4 times stating that the table is needed when there are 3+ tables clearly available. We were the only customers asked to leave, when we had coffee, ice cream and sandwiches compared to others who just had coffee. Sure we weren't dressed as well as the other customers as we had just been riding a motorbike in the pouring rain, but that is no excuse. We had only our motorbike and the host and employees expected us to leave in torrential rain. We were and always are very respectful people but were treated like dirt. We left feeling patronized, unwelcome and disrespected. Not very host like at all. I suggest you sort out your attitude or don't own a cafe if you are not willing to understand the basic principles of...
