PAM supermarket — Local services in Milan

I go here just to do the small emergency shopping because it's the closest to home. Fruits and vegetables go bad quickly (3 days and they're gone in the trash, plus they don't taste fresh). shopping in general is expensive, 1 bag of basic food can easily cost you more than 25 euros and the self service machines work badly, they will most likely require the assistance of a worker that's responsible for them, which is terrible because if you're using them it's because you decided that you didn't want any human interaction that day.

Not all of it is that bad though: the ready-made meals you find on the left side once you enter have great prices and they taste good. Excellent for some meals (baked potatoes, chicken wings, ...) on the go if you don't have time to cook at home and don't want to throw 10+ euros at Glovo for just 1 meal. You end up spending 4 euros at most.

Carrefour is much better for weekly shopping, prices are slightly more fair. Lidl is the best in prices....

Il personale della macelleria e della pescheria sono sempre gentili ma non capisco perchè gli addetti della cassa sono sempre irritati e maleducati...mah... EDIT: Purtroppo oggi, dopo un anno dalla mia ultima recensione mi vedo rimettere 1 stella. Andavo al Pam solo per le emergenze e stasera a 15 minuti dalla chiusura mi sento dire da un uomo anziano e basso (dal suo atteggiamento non sembrava un dipendente ma bensì un responsabile): “ Signora, VELOCE CHE DOBBIAMO CHIUDERE!” Neanche un “Mi scusi”, neanche un “Grazie”… -veloce- Non mi sono sentita trattata da cliente, mai in questo pdv. Ora passiamo un attimo ai prodotti: frutta e verdura sono abbastanza fresche, non posso dire la stessa cosa per la carne e il pesce. La carne il giorno seguente dall’’incarto già inizia ad ossidarsi velocemente, il pesce invece mi è capitato di aver fatto il reso di un filetto di merluzzo “fresco” (così per dire) il giorno stesso del confezionamento…dopo neanche due ore dall’acquisto sono pronta a cucinarlo, tolgo la pellicola e una puzza ha invaso la casa. Mai più comprato pesce da loro. Ritengo che la qualità dei prodotti e il comportamento dello staff non giustifichino e non siano all’altezza dei loro prezzi altini. Tutto questo per dire che la mia esperienza con Pam termina qui.
