We were trying to check in my luggage for the return journey to Gatwick airport. There were three ladies behind the desk. The first one was for speedy-boarding, not for us. The second lady had no customer and the third lady was calling a couple to her desk. What I didn’t understand was that the couple closed the lane behind them. So, we went to where the couple was, that was in front of the third lady’s desk. Since both the first and third lady were with the customers. My friend and I were calling the second lady and trying to ask her if it was okay to go to her desk or wait at the third lady’s desk. Initially she ignored us, but when I was touching the stripe on the barrier. She suddenly started shouting at me and pointing at the zigzag lanes behind us and said we needed to go through the zigzag lane to queue at the very end. From where we were, we cannot figure out where exactly she was pointing at. The zigzag lane was almost endless and beyond the easyjet area and that confused the hell lot of us. I said to her that the desk was in front of us why sending us to a dead end we cannot even see. She shouted repeatedly at me that was EasyJet’s rule. I said then I would need to take a picture of this nonsense and send to EasyJet for complaint. She immediately threatened me that she was going to call the police if I dare to take any pictures. I was speechless, since I was in a foreign country I try not to get myself in trouble. So, I didn’t do anything. Then my friend said something in Italian, which I didn’t understand at the time. Later, I found out he said we were only following the couple in front of us. The airport lady said that the couple did exactly what she described to us. But the wash not true, as the couple said to her that they didn’t do it, that was impossible. He airport lady shouted at us it was easyJet’s rule again, then stormed away and back to her and disappeared. After the third desk lady helped the couple in front of us. She called us and asked us what happened. She certainly disagrees with her colleague and checked in our bag without sending us to where the other lady said.
The airport woman who shouted at us called Silvia. She was seating at desk A10. Avoid her...
Read moreWe arrived two hours before the departure of a domestic flight and almost didn't make the flight. Granted it is July which is the busiest season. The check in counter for check-in luggage did not have enough employees which resulted in a long wait. The employees that where there did there best though so thank you for keeping your cool. Then you have to go to security and the lines where like a madhouse. It would take us 1 additional hour. Now I noticed they do have a fast lane at the security check in (it has a Mastercard logo but has nothing to do with Mastercard; they just copied the logo to make it look more official). I thought this is for people who are security cleared like in the US such as Global Entry or Clear. But to my surprise this has nothing to do with security but it is just another way to make extra money for the airport. You can go through the fast check lane if you pay 15 Euro per person through a link/app which takes at least 5-10 minutes to complete. After you pay you can go into the fast lane and skip the lines. Only in Italy!!!! Mamamia. Hahaha. Unbelievable. No worries. I still love you all and always will. Regardless. I had no choice to pay or I would have missed my flight. Seems like a nice clean airport though. Interesting ist hat make you go through duty-free after security and that the isles are too narrow so people who are running to catch a flight have to run around people whose eyes are glued on all the trappings of modern consumerism. Interesting concept. I guess it's all good. Either way. My suggestion is to come 2.5 to 3 hours before your flight leaves during the months of July and August. Baci & Abbracci. The meaning of life is love....
Read moreINHUMANE, I arrived at the Olbia airport injured and on crutches (fractured left foot) to take my flight to Rome, a young airport staff member walked right by me while he was pushing a wheelchair, and I asked for assistance to use the wheelchair, he arrogantly replied No! 48 hours in advance... I tried again later on at the airport office, where they manage the special assistance for passengers and he also denied me help even though there there were apriximatelly 10 weelchairs just laying there not being used, he said that he was sorry but I was not in the system,,, my flight bording time was only less than an hour away and the boarding gate was not far away either, I have never confronted a more stupid, backwards reasoning in my life, I understand Olbia is a small airport and resources are limited, however with the amount of tourists the island of Sardinia receives every year they shall plan for contingencies, we are tourist we do not speack italian fluently and do not understand all the rules and regulations. Once on the plane and on my way to Rome, I requested the flight attendant's assistance for a wheelchair once I arrived in Rome, but she said no again since I needed to make a reservation. I begged again and told her that I was in pain and needed help. She asked the pilot again, and the pilot radioed Rome and requested help for me. Once in Rome, they helped me thank God; the service there for passengers with special needs was excellent. Denying medical assistance to an injured passenger is inhumane. Please take into consideration my comments, and hope that in the future other tourists don´t have to go through the ordeal I...
