Ristorante FOX — Local services in Venice

We finished our cruise in Trieste and decided to stay in mestre ....we booked the elite hotel and were very happy with the staff ......after walking around the whole day got very tired and thought of having dinner in the fox restaurant inside the hotel.....my brother,my husband and I went inside and the young waiter was very nice took my brother and my order while my husband said he would order later cause he had just had a snack and was just giving us company having a drink. ....as soon as the young waiter went inside the older waiter (I think it was the boss)came out in anger and said that he had to eat or else he should leave...we were shocked cause no where else we have heard that so without saying a word we all left while he was shouting angrily behind our backs.....very bad experience for our first night....would not recommend anyone to go there.....we decided to eat in the Indian restaurant which was next to hotel a 5 min walk outside and had a very warm welcome there...food wad delicious......prices very reasonable...thanks to them our night was saved....hope this review helps cause it's the truth not like on their own site which they put there own people's...

My husband and I got scammed at this restaurant. I’d give it negative stars if I can. We ordered and paid for the risotto and after waiting for half and hour we got some half ass cold rigatoni in two separate boxes. When asked the server was rude and said they didn’t have any risotto only the rigatoni! It’s pure scam and they are racism against Asian people. The pasta was cold and disgusting, we got scammed for $55...

Nous avons dîné au Ristorante Fox à l’occasion du repas du Nouvel An, et l’expérience a été globalement décevante.

Tout d’abord, attention : ce restaurant ne se trouve pas à Venise même, mais à Mestre. Ce détail est volontairement peu clair dans leurs informations. Cela peut prêter à confusion pour les visiteurs.

Ensuite, le paiement intégral du repas nous a été demandé avant même que nous soyons installés à table, ce qui est très inhabituel et peu accueillant. Les prix sont exorbitants : 10 € pour deux bouteilles d’eau, par exemple.

Côté cuisine, nous avons été particulièrement déçus. Pour un repas de Nouvel An, nous nous attendions à une expérience culinaire plus raffinée, mais les plats étaient tout juste corrects, sans originalité, et en aucun cas à la hauteur de l’occasion.

Le service a été extrêmement médiocre, assuré par un personnel amateur, manquant de professionnalisme et d’attention envers les clients.

Enfin, l’animation proposée par un DJ était loin d’être satisfaisante. La musique était bien trop forte, rendant toute conversation impossible, et la prestation manquait clairement de qualité.

Pour un repas de Nouvel An, nous espérions une soirée festive et mémorable, mais cela n’a malheureusement pas été le cas. Nous ne recommandons pas cet...
