An exceptional restaurant. We often visit this outstanding Indian restaurant. Beautiful ambience, excellent food and good service, friendly staff make this restaurant interesting. From the first moment we were satisfied with the service because they deliver the ingredients of the finest authentic and quality Indian cuisine, they have highly qualified and passionate chefs with incomparable Indian culinary skills and knowledge. After many trips to India, we can safely say that their cuisine is authentic. Not only is the food exceptional, but the service is at an extremely high level. Well done. We started with an appetizer of Kathi Roll (Chicken), Punjabi Samosa and Paneer Pakora. Then we continued with Tandoori/Grill and the inevitable Chicken Curries, namely Malai Tikka, Chicken Tikka Masala (roasted marinated chicken chunks in a spiced sauce), Shahi Chicken Korma, Jhinga curry ( Prawn curry ), and my favorite Palak Paneer, Butter chicken ( Curry made from chicken with a spiced tomato and butter sauce ), all these exceptional dishes with Cheese Naan, seasonal salad and excellent desserts Gulab Jamun and Kheer (Rice and milk cream with saffron and dry fruit). Read moreI have had food at multiple Indian restaurants overseas. So read it in that way please.
Food was good, not great, but good. Quantity was less compared to the prices charged. One of the best ambiences I have seen in an Indian restaurant overseas. But somehow it looks like the entire place is designed to serve ONLY native Italians and not others. They have cover charge, all rules and system as per local systems... Then, when the salt was less (and we pointed out only on their request), they defended saying "we put less salt deliberately)! And a few more such instances just within 1 hr of our stay there. Clearly they were busy attending to other customers and put us on kind of back seat.
Also, they didn't give me the bill post payment. And when I asked, I got the bill which was clearly thrown into the trash!
Therefore, I'm giving...
Read moreA new low for Indian restaurants hits when the tacky decor and regressive playlists catches up with the staff. The food can only save you so far. I am fortunate that I did not end up having any burns on my face when the waiter who was serving sizzling paneer haryali tikka so close to my face that I had to drag my chair to the railing. The waiter was unbothered, ofcourse. At that point, the part where he only spoke to my husband while ignoring any entrees ordered by me felt like nothing in comparison to the incident. Assuming that alcohol orders are only for men was absolutely hysteric. Treating me like an invisible woman, reciprocated the patriarchal culture I am well versed with but will not put up with. Ofcourse there will be men and women who will put up with this and brush this aside, focusing on just their meals and for their sake, I hope that meal is easy to digest than the filthy attitude...
