Pizzeria La Biga-VERONA — Local services in Verona

See a few reviews about being too thin - I though Italian pizza was supposed to be thin (maybe that's a UK thing...). Everywhere we saw pizza in Verona it was nearly always the same - An inch or more thick and almost like bread with a bit of cheese and tomato on top. The pizza here is thin, but I thought it was absolutely great (Especially the spicy Diavola). Seeing as my partner fell ill I ended up coming here two days in a row and thoroughly enjoyed it both times. If you're staying in the area grab a bottle of Prosecco from Lidl next door for €4.50 and a pizza for €5-6. A better meal that most the tourist restaurants for a quarter of the price. Friendlier...

Well, 3 days in Milan and 4 in Verona. We travelled far and wide for that real Italian pizza. Just a 1 minute walk from hotel Leopardi, It was under our nose the whole time.

The tantalising smell hit you the moment you walked in One look, we could tell it was the "real deal."

We headed in, not thinking we would be dreaming of that pizza for years after but it will certainly make our mouths water whenever we think about it.

It was fantastic value for money. The staff were amazing, very helpful but more importantly, you could tell this was passion and more than just simple food.

Pizzeria situata a ridosso del supermercato Lidl, ero cliente da molti anni. Ho telefonato questa sera a distanza di circa un mese dall'ultima volta, quindi con il listino prezzi che avevo a casa datomi di recente. Ma ahimè ordinando 4 pizze di cui: una Margherita, una Margherita con aggiunta di würstel, una sarda e una gustosa per un totale di €36,00. Ho bloccato subito l'ordine perché hanno aumentato le pizze di €1,00 quindi una Margherita al posto di €6,50 (già cara) l'avrei pagata €7,50 quasi ai livelli da pizzeria da tavolo. Per non parlare di quella ai würstel si arriva a €9,00 che è la pizza più semplice perché basta tagliare un würstel e metterla nel forno. Capisco gli aumenti generali però sbagliano ad aver aumentato i prezzi delle pizze. Perché si parla sempre di un servizio a domicilio e non in una pizzeria a tavolo con forno a legna. Ambiente da rimodernare da punto a capo. Non...
