We stayed overnight in this mountain hut and I highly recommend it! Owners themselves warn that this is not a hotel or a guest house, just a mountain hut, so don't expect much! What you get is a warm place to rest, delicious dinner (tonjiru is great!), free use of toilets and a very polite and friendly staff. There were six of us, which is exactly how many people can fit in one section of the bunk beds. Note that if there are less people in your group you might end up sleeping VERY close to strangers. The views from outside the hut are absolutely stunning if the weather is cooperative. If you'd prefer not to climb in the dark, this is the perfect spot to watch the sunrise and soak in the beauty of Mt. Fuji's surroundings.
The food is hot, tasty, and exactly what you need after climbing. You can also order boxed breakfast with your reservation to take with you on your climb.
