Having visited Tomita Melon House twice, I can confidently say it’s a place that perfectly captures the taste and charm of Hokkaido summers. Located just next to the iconic Farm Tomita, this spot has become a favorite destination for melon lovers like me.
On both visits, the freshly sliced Furano melons stole the show. The melons here are incredibly sweet, juicy, and perfectly ripe—each slice feels like a celebration of Hokkaido’s rich agricultural bounty. Whether you enjoy them by the slice, half, or whole, the quality is consistently excellent.
The melon-infused treats are another highlight. I tried the melon soft serve on my first visit, and it was so good I had to have it again the second time! Creamy and delicately sweet, it’s the perfect summer indulgence. On my second trip, I explored more of their offerings, like the melon smoothie and their famous melon bread (melon pan). The bread’s soft texture and luscious melon-flavored filling made it unforgettable.

Read moreThe day we went was around 30 degrees, we decided to walk to the Farm from Nakafurano station, which took about 20mins, and we took a taxi to the station when return (610 yen). Please check the train schedule for return, as only 1-2 train per hr.
The Melon was very juicy & sweet. They offer a sliced melon (700 yen for a sliced of Green / Red Melon) or half melon (1200 yen). You can add on top of a Milk ice-cream at 350 yen. We wanna try the white corn, but its not the season yet.
