Cathay Pacific Lounge — Local services in Narita

This NEW CX Lounge opened in 2023 February, taking the old space of American Airlines Admirals Club and using much of its old furniture. If you look from a distance the Lounge looks quite beautiful & elegant. If you look closer, you can see the sofas are really old with scratches & marks, the rims of the round tables are broken, etc. If you see it in a positive way this is environmental friendly of using 2nd / 3rd hand products ...

The magazines are boring & I won't bother touching.

The food is always mediocre but it's okay as I have no expectation. But there is 1 item I like which is the Chicken Congee.

Surprisingly, one of the Receptionists almost cannot understand English, but this is okay...

A large bright space which used to be the old American Airlines lounge here in Narita Airport Terminal 2. If you are satified with cold food (that's fine with me, but it's not OK for some folks in the sinosphere) you can have a nice time with ample seating, smoked salmon, cheeses, and dense delicious chocolate cake paired with Häagen-Dazs ice cream (the latter is available upon request). One star deducted for the dated lounge seating; the kitchen seating area is brighter and more up-to-date. The Cathay Pacific Narita Airport lounge reopened in February 2023. The previous lounge was unpopular for being small, crowded and lacking showers, but the new lounge has been relocated to the site of the former American Airlines Admirals Club and boasts 2.4 times the area and 1.6 times the number of seats. The seating and dining areas are comfortable with a relaxed atmosphere. There is a full range of drinks and food, and you can get Häagen-Dazs.
