At first I thought it was a brewery to walk around but it is a local shop, which offers nice miso. ••Miso Tasting•• 2 types of miso paste (white & red) available for tasting. There is an instruction in Japanese on how to try it. - Take small paper cup & put hot dashi soup from flask in cup. - Take miso paste from container and put it on the rim of cup. - try dashi soup first, then try miso paste on its own. - Then, mix miso paste & dashi soup togther, and try. - These are 3 ways to enjoy the tasting. I ordered miso ice cream which was thick and had a bit of salty touch. I would say it was close to salted caramel ice cream and we could not tell it was miso if not knowing beforehand. Amazake has 2 flavors - original & boysenberry. I had original one. Pretty thick and reminds me of soy milk.

常に駐車場が満車になるくらいの人気店です。以前から気になっていた味噌ソフトクリーム￥398をいただきました。適度な甘さと塩味が絶妙なバランスです。そして味噌の風味がふわっと香り...これはリピート&おすすめしたくなります。 9/9(火)12:00 追記自宅用に越後味噌バウムクーヘンミニと味噌フィナンシェのセット￥598を購入しました。バウムクーヘンは粉雪のような、ふわんふわんの柔らかさと軽さに衝撃が走りました。想像の域をはるかに越えます。気を付けて持たないと形が崩れてしまいそうなほどです。ソフトクリーム同様、味噌の香りと後味がすごく良いです。フィナンシェはバターがたっぷり入って、しみしみジワ～～なしっとり感。バターと味噌はもちろん、洋酒の香りもふわりとします。こちらは甘さがしっかりあります。バウムクーヘンとフィナンシェは賞味期限が1ヶ月あるので、お土産に最適です。お気に入りのお店になりました。美味しいおやつ時間をありがとうございました！ 9/19(金)10:30 追記父の誕生日祝いのお菓子を買いに行きました。お目当ては豆菓子です。コーヒー豆￥388、いちご豆￥432、ゆず胡椒豆￥356を選びました。店内を見て回るうちに自分用にも欲しくなり、コーヒー豆と週末限定の味噌生どら焼き￥398と冷凍味噌チーズタルト￥380も追加しちゃいました。コーヒー豆は丸くてぶどうの粒くらいの大きさがあり、つまみやすいです。とても軽い食感で、落花生の香りとコーヒーのわずかな苦みが口に広がりとても美味しいです。止まらなくなります。どら焼は、もふんっとした生地の中に白あん(白いんげん+米みそ)が挟んであります。勝手にあんこを想像していたので、こっちか～と思いました。他のお菓子に比べると味噌は感じられませんでした。チーズタルトはチーズ好きにはたまらない逸品です！中から超濃厚クリームチーズが流れ出てきます。手で持つと崩れそうなくらい柔らかいタルトなので、落とすまいと夢中でガッつきました。かなり甘さがあるので、糖分が欲しいときに最高に美味しくいただけると思います。

This store has absolutely amazing products and really friendly and helpful service staff.

We especially love their Amazake (Boysenberry's our favorite but the others are great as well) and their Miso! Honestly, our only regret was that we didn't buy more of their products to try ourselves and also to give to family members - but this is definitely on our bucket list if we ever travel to/pass by Niigata again.
