This was not a good station on our Japan trip. Let me explain - I lost my luggage on the train to Otsuki Station and called multiple times. After many attempts, it was finally found at Otsuki, and I was told I could pick it up on April 11th. I was given the luggage ID number. On April 11th, after a full day of train delays and detours, I arrived at Otsuki Station and was told my luggage had been forwarded to Mt. Fuji Station. This made no sense, and I wasted an entire day. I had confirmed the pickup date, had the ID number, and endured a full day of travel just to retrieve it. I asked if they could send it back to Tokyo or mail it, but was told no. I had to travel two hours to Mt. Fuji Station, where I encountered a very rude attendant who showed no interest in helping. Read moreAs its is impossible to review Fujikyu Railways... For the start the station itself is fine. But limited express train from Shinjuku to Kawaguchiko and back is a mess. Having a Japan Rail Pass you are unable to book ticket for Fujikyu at Shinjuku and also as non-japanese resident you cant do it online... It means that you need to buy ticket at Kawaguchiko station, because train is so crowded that even conductor is unable to reach you... Kawaguchiko Station organisation is total mess, crowded and unorganized. Additionaly, you certainly can not call this train an express :)))... Most of the time it goes 30km/h. It should be called romancecar... Total failure. You better rent a car to avoid...
