We don’t know their names, but those two – we guessed that one of them might be the shop’s owner – were the friendliest and most helpful people we had the pleasure of meeting in Japan! We wanted to have our luggage sent to our hotel after our 4-day hike on the Kumano Kodo. The V Shop offers luggage delivery, and although we didn’t know any words in Japanese other than “sorry” and “thank you,” those two were incredibly patient and helpful. They filled out the forms for us, even called the hotel on our behalf, and did it all with a smile while laughing along with us… This is a memory we will always treasure! Thank you very much! V-Shop was my local supermarket while I stayed in Ezurahama. Kawakyu Art Museum Hotel is at the end of the street too. It's got a cool local-vibe and has a wide range of goods with a huge undercover entrance to park under in rainy weather. Cheap prices too !
