Whether it’s a couture dress you saw on the runway, or a cosplay project, Melanie can help you construct a pattern and create your vision with the perfect fit. Students have designed and made their own wedding gowns through these classes, with stunning results!

Melanie is a great teacher and knows how to teach you. She gives you confidence and helps you learn the basics even if you have never touched a sewing machine in your life. The place is so nice and cozy. Melanie is very hospitable and kind. She helps you overcome any fear you may have at the beginning. She’s very knowledgeable and will encourage you to try things on your own. She shows you tricks and gives you tips. Melanie's superpower is her patterns. I came to this class with an idea of what to make, a drawing I did myself and Melanie worked her magic to make it happen, drawing a whole new pattern for me.

A few lessons later, I am trying on and finishing my party dress, and the pattern worked so well! I usually have troubles with retail dress sizes as top and bottom sizes are different, often top is too loose and bottom too tight, waist in the wrong place etc. THIS PATTERN fits like a dream. It didn't even need alterations.
