創建年代は不明だが玉垣の様子などから見て近代であろう水天宮は本来、安産のみが神徳では無い土地柄、水難避けを目的に勧請されたのではないかどうやらこちらは本来の十二天の水天から祭神変更された後に勧請された可能性が高いが… 水天宮は明治の国家神道により無理やり入水自殺した安徳天皇と二位の尼、アメノミナカヌシに祭神変更された歴史があるみんな有り難がっているが、祭神が入水自殺した幼帝ほかに変わっているのですよこちらの祭神も、もし変更されているのであれば、十二天の水天に戻すべきである神社本庁総裁の田中恆清氏も明治に祭神変更された神社は神仏習合時代の祭神に戻すべきと仰っています

【20241116】昭和通り商店街から少し脇にそれた場所にある水天宮様です。小岩を散歩途中に目に入りお邪魔しました。目の前を歩きや自転車で素通りされている方も多いので、長らくこの地に存命されているのではないてましょうか？水天宮様は子供や水にまつわる神様と記憶してますので、お子さんの祈願や水にまつまる商売等の方は定期的お参りなさるのが吉かもしれません。

綺麗に整備清掃された小さな神社です。手水鉢の水が、かけ流しされていて身も心も清めてお参りすることができました。

とても小さな神社で、目立たない場所にあるから、地元の人以外はスルーしてしまうかもしれない。
