遊食厨房 Tom Dog — Restaurant in Yamanakako

Was in good spirits as with any atmospheric izakaya experience, we were told that it would take longer for the pasta to be done, and because of that and the worry we would be hungry we were urged to order other dishes. And so we did. Most of the food came out in the first 40mins.

But nothing would have prepared me for the fact that I had to awkwardly worry and wait for a pasta that took almost 1.5hrs to come out. No other mains besides pizza which I cant have.

If you dont want to sit there and keep ordering food and wait, avoid.

Otherwise, food was delicious, so avoids the 1 star.

Edit: Thank you for the response and explanation, it is very unfortunate because the area does not have a lot options for food past 8pm and most people might end up treating the izakaya as a dinner location. It is also very unfortunate that the pasta, usually not a long waiting time item, is on the menu, and although highlighted as a long wait item, took almost 90minutes, which by then, even the normal food items would have been consumed and left the customer waiting. I believe removing the pasta/swapping it out with another filling option would be good, as the menu, besides rice and pizza, is lacking something filling. I apologise for the lower rating but it was due to my singular experience there, and I hope future customers would find it more appealing...

We stopped by at this restaurant one evening after a long day in the Mt. Fuji area. Everything was excellent including the food, hospitality, and atmosphere. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone traveling near Lake Yamanaka.
