My partner and I recently had the pleasure of embarking on our first safari trip in the Masai Mara National Park, and it was truly an unforgettable experience, thanks to the exceptional organization by Steve and the wonderful guidance of our driver, Moses. From start to finish, everything was flawlessly planned and executed, making this adventure both exciting and smooth for us as a couple.

Prior to the trip, we had detailed discussions with Steve, who ensured that all our preferences and expectations were understood. This level of preparation was evident from the moment we were picked up from our hotel. Steve and Moses arrived promptly and warmly welcomed us, and we headed straight to the park with a quick stop to pick up lunch, which turned out to be a great idea as it allowed us more flexibility for a seamless start to our game drive.

Our stay was at the Anshil Mara Camp, a gem nestled deep within the park, offering a fantastic experience of being surrounded by wildlife. The camp itself was wonderful, with the added treat of seeing hippos right from our location! Together with Moses, we planned the next day’s itinerary, deciding on an early morning and evening game drive, and we couldn’t be happier with that decision.

The morning game drive was magical, with the sunrise casting a golden glow over the savannah as we watched animals starting their day. Throughout the game drives, we were fortunate to witness a wide variety of wildlife, including elephants, lions, giraffes, and zebras, many of them with their adorable cubs and calves. It was such a special and heartwarming experience to see these animals in their natural habitat, caring for their young ones. The evening game drive was equally enchanting, with the sunset painting the sky in breathtaking colors. Moses found the perfect spot for us to enjoy a sundowner, where we could relax, take in the stunning scenery, and enjoy a refreshing drink as the sun dipped below the horizon. These moments made the experience incredibly special, and we felt completely immersed in the beauty of the Masai Mara.

On our last day, we left the park, but even the journey out felt like another game drive, allowing us to enjoy more wildlife along the way. A stop at a Masai Mara village on the way back to Nairobi offered an insightful glimpse into the local culture and traditions, which added an enriching layer to the entire trip.

We felt incredibly safe and well taken care of throughout the entire journey. Steve and Moses were always attentive to our preferences, offering perfect advice and recommendations that made the experience truly personalized.
