La Jardine Hotel — Hotel in Nairobi

Warning: This hotel is in one of the most dangerous area's in Nairobi, how dangerous? The bike taxi got attacked by 5 guys 3 minutes after he dropped us off in front of the hotel and took all his money, his phone and they tried to steal his bike... that said... the hotel was a dump (see pics). Way overpriced. NO WIFI in the room, NO TV, NO mosquito net, leaking sink, no chair, the shower-head was broken and either the water was boiling or ice-cold. Almost no water coming out of it... No toilet seat, Sheets had stains on it. The room was very very||small. Only one towel, one very small water bottle and one small piece of soap and one pair of dirty slippers while the room was booked for two people?! 2 clothing hangers. I booked through expedia and instead of a warm welcome we got attitude cause I booked and paid online and I got the complaint that expedia didn't pay them yet? I send two emails with preferences but they never received or paid attention to it?! The electricity in the room constantly||short cutted so the only lamp broke every day cause of bad wiring. The room was very dirty. Hairs of other people everywhere even in the bed... Windows dirty, windows handle broken. Way overpriced! and can you put a price on security cause the area is way too bad... ask any Kenyan about the area... SO many better hotels for cheaper rates! I looked around for...

I have had the pleasure of staying in La Jardine Kasuku Rd and La Jardine right in the heart of Nairobis Central Business District. La Jardine Kasuku Rd was quite the experience with its mouth watering array of dishes, excellent service and spectacular simple cool colours themed rooms. I have often gone back for meetings or to just have that home made pot of chai they are so good at or their freshly brewed coffee and farmers choice sausages. ||The serene atmospere in the bandas is an experience I would wish on anybody who wants to have that alone moment as they surf through the internet on their laptops as they have wifi services for free.||La jardine Ngara, is very convinient location wise as its not very far from the city centre. Its actually a walking distance. Again, the services are excellent. Very friendly stuff members. One Brenda was very kind and walked me through the entire hotel to just get a feel of their rooms before settling in. I thought that was very thoughtful. Again, the food is a delight and for sports lovers, they have all this big screen TVs strategically placed all over the place. ||La Jardine Hotels come highly recommended and I wouldnt hesitate to recommend any of my friends for a long stay or for just that freshly brewed cup of chai or coffee or to just unwind at the well stocked bar after a long...

Awesome front desk staff (Doreen and Liza or Aliza). Doreen was exceptional. Rooms are clean. Prices are fair. Pretty good facility and environment. Security Guards are alert often times.||Wood stump clock pretty original but needs resetting. Toilets need covers. Unsealed gaps in windows let in some noise. ||Thanks Doreen for walking me through the room, ensuring I got soap and sleepers pretty quick after my request. Thanks liza ( not sure that her right name) for walking me through the room on my first day and trying to fix the TV that did not work finally.||I will patronize again. I would recommend...
