初茶 Chuchat — Local services in Johor

Went twice in a week – drinks were good, but some staff were rude and unprofessional.

On both visits, staff behavior was disappointing. They kept staring at customers, making us feel very unwelcome.

First visit: 6 of us ordered 4 drinks. Since there was no large table, we arranged seats ourselves (despite many staff standing at the counter doing nothing), they just stared and looked visibly annoyed.

Second visit: 5 of us ordered 2 drinks. Again, we arranged our own seating, and staff started looking at each other like we WEREN’T ALLOWED to move tables. (Almost 10 staffs in the shop)

So, is there an unspoken rule that groups over 2-3 people aren’t welcome or each person has to order a drink? If so, please make it clear when customers ordering drinks.

We’re not expecting overly friendly service, but at the very least, treat all customers fairly and professionally.

Otherwise, please train your staff to be more professional, welcoming, and helpful. Also consider setting aside a few tables for larger groups. We genuinely liked the drinks, but the service makes it hard to...

I recently visited ChuChat and I have to say, it exceeded all my expectations! The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, perfect for hanging out with friends or grabbing a quick treat.

The menu has a great variety of options, from classic milk teas to unique, creative flavors that you won’t find anywhere else. I tried the [白兰云顶毛峰], and it was absolutely delicious! The tea was perfectly brewed, and the sweetness level was just right—not too overpowering, but still rich in flavor. The pearls were chewy and fresh, a key part of the milk tea experience.

The staff was friendly and helpful, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Prices are reasonable for the quality, and I’ll definitely be coming back to try more drinks.

A few days ago, I took my friends from another city to your store.

While waiting, we ate two very small snacks we bought from a shop next door. Less than 5 minutes later, a female staff member came over with no smile and said, "You can’t eat here." We felt sorry and said, "We’ll finish them quickly," then tried to eat faster. But just 1 minutes later, another male staff member came to tell us the same thing! We had to throw the snacks away.

We also ordered three drinks but only got two straws. My friend went to the counter and said, "We only have two straws." The staff member answered rudely, "Two straws?" My friend feel nervously asked, "Can I take one?" Then the staff said, "Take it lo"
