I was a patient of Dr. Wan Adnan. In March, I came to the hospital with a referral letter from a clinic, and Dr. Wan Adnan confirmed that I had a left thyroid nodule. He recommended surgery to remove the left side of my thyroid, as the tumor measured approximately 4 cm. As someone without a medical background, I trusted his recommendation and had confidence in his care. He was very kind and gentle throughout the process.
However, I later discovered that Dr. Wan Adnan did not consult with an oncologist prior to the surgery. As a result, he only removed half of the thyroid when, in fact, a full thyroidectomy ā including removal of the lymph nodes ā should have been performed. Now, I am faced with the need for a second surgery.
I have since transferred to a government hospital, but the date for my second surgery has been set for August ā months away due to the lack of a doctor available to perform the surgery in gov hosp. My parents arenāt the modern, well-educated type who know how to deal with stuff like this, so when I ended up in this situation, they didnāt really know what to do either. The thought of having to wait this long, knowing that the cancer could continue to spread, is incredibly distressing. This could have been avoided had the correct procedure been done in the first place. A 4 cm tumor should have been a clear indication for a total thyroidectomy.
I trusted Dr. Wan Adnan and now I feel deeply let down. As a 20 years old student juggling academic responsibilities and limited time, this situation has taken a significant emotional toll on me. It has left me feeling hopeless and overwhelmed.
To Dr. Wan Adnan, iām sorry for leaving a review like this. Thank you for...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAlhamdulillah, I've delivered a healthy baby at KPJ Pasir Gudang under Dr Nik Azrita Bt Ariffin. Truth to be told, the whole delivery journey was a roller coaster ride for me due to unexpected circumstances on the baby. Looking backward, I truly amaze with Dr Nik Azrita's calmness and professionalism (including all the labor room nurses great capability) on handling this stressful situation to save my baby. Dr Nik and all nurses are super efficient and highly trained under duress. Together, alhamdulillah they make a great team to help deliver my baby in short amount of time. Ā Ā Ā Read moreIāve been a regular patient at KPJ Pasir Gudang for over 3 years ā almost every month I get admitted here, and more than twice a month I come for outpatient treatment. Iāve always been happy with the service, but today was very disappointing.
I came for an appointment due to a bad migraine and rash flare. The clinic asked me to come before 12.30pm. I arrived at 11.40am but couldnāt find parking both inside and outside the hospital, even after 30 minutes of searching. I was unwell with cough & throbbing headache, alone, and the weather was very hot.
I kindly asked a guard if I could use one of the many empty reserved parking spots, but he still refused even after I explained my condition. Iāve never taken advantage or asked for special parking before, but today I truly felt I couldnāt walk far in my condition.
I almost cancelled my appointment but finally found a quite far parking spot at Affin Bank. What made it more frustrating was that when I left the hospital, those same reserved parking spots were still empty.
I really hope PGSH will be more understanding in the future, especially for regular patients like me who travel alone to get treatment. Maybe consider giving priority parking or support for frequent visitors.
Despite this, Im still giving 5 stars because I do love this hospital and appreciate the care I received all...
