Night snorkeling with Lalo is my favorite activity on the island! I’ve been three times and always see octopuses. It’s magical and mysterious and floats in my memory. Lalo is super friendly, brings all the gear you’ll need, and - most importantly - knows how to spot wildlife. In addition to the shape- and color-shifting octopuses, he found eels, huge crabs, lobsters, puffer fish, squid, and tiny tiny bioluminescent jellyfish. Lalo takes underwater video of the animals and then pans to you, and then sends the videos to you afterwards. So, so cool to look at those later. Lalo and his safety assistant are careful and will tell you if the water and/or your swimming skills are not going to be safe for you. I recommend showing up sober - a couple of women showed up “very not sober” to one of our snorkeling sessions, and it was not fun for them or for Lalo. Amazing! This was by far the best tour we did on Cozumel! I would give 6 stars if possible. It was the first time we were snorkling at night and this tour is perfect to get into it. Very knowledgeable and super kind guide, very nice communication and we saw all the animals we wanted to see. Especially two super friendly and curious squids were so nice to oberserve. What an experience! I highly recommend to book this tour and experience the riff directly at the beach and in shallow waters at night! Do not miss this swim. Sure, the chances of seeing wildlife are always just a chance, but when you do, wow. Small group, excellent guide, easy transport to and from the swim site and easy enough for those who can swim at a novice level. All equipment is included. On our trip we saw a moray eel before we even entered the water. 2 octopus, a giant puffer(2+ ft), another moray, a sea snake, multiple king crab and a beautiful squid later, all in an hour swim, made our booking unforgettable.
