We are a group of five older adults and we loved this setting. It is very clean and well-organized. The beach is beautiful and there are tables and chairs, beach chairs, hammocks, beach umbrellas, etc. There are plenty of sunny areas as well as shady areas. We were not charged an entrance fee, just asked to purchase drinks and food during our time there. They are happy to bring drinks and food to you on the beach or you can sit in the restaurant area overlooking the beach. The food and drinks are both excellent as well as the service. The prices are tourist prices, but mid-range, not too expensive. There is music playing in the bar and restaurant area. The management turned the volume down when requested.
The bathrooms are very nice and there are outside showers to rinse off the salt water. There are small rooms to rent with their own bed and bathroom. It would be nice if you had small children. There are several souvenir shops at the front when you walk in and you are invited to purchase, but you can easily walk by and enjoy your time at the rest of the facility.
Snorkeling and kayak equipment is available. Like all of the beaches on this side of the island there are rocks and coral at the edge. They have a ramp to get over these and there are also several places you can walk through if you are careful. Pretty good shallow water snorkeling all along the beach area.
There is a public beach to the north, so you can extend your beach walking or shallow water snorkeling for a long ways without running into other beach clubs.

2023: Went to a nearby place first and they lied on the price once we arrived (wanted more money for less = no food like we were told). Walked down the street and were greeted at the road and told there was no fee. Chairs, hammocks, snorkel gear, and a few free drinks with food.
Definitely a great family place or for a couple.

This place is still a great choice in my opinion. Taxi from the cruise port to here for 6 people was $30 ($5 each).
There was/is no entrance fee for this location. Frozen mixed drinks were all $17 regardless of the drink you got. We got a plate of chicken nachos (huge plate) loaded with melted Mexican shredded cheese, homemade beans, chicken, guacamole, Pico, jalapeños, etc, which was $18 and feed two hungry 11 year olds and two adults easily.
They have a short ladder/bridge for easy water access to swim and snorkel in the ocean. All of the taxi drivers try to get you to go to clubs nearby because they get a cut of the entrance fee which was a minimum $20 per person (plus the taxi ride to and from). That price includes no food. Thats just chairs and umbrellas. Don't waste your money. Come here (bahia de uvas beach) instead and spend that money on great food and local workers making an...
Read moreWe spent a whole day here and had a great experience. As long as you buy food and drink, then entry and use of the facilities is free. Prices are quite high but no worse than most places on Cozumel (and in fact lower than the hotel we were staying at). Also the food was excellent. I had fajitas for lunch and my wife had fried rice - and both were absolutely delicious. Apart from a couple of points in the day when there was a sudden influx of visitors from cruises, who both times stayed a short while and then left, we otherwise had the beach mostly to ourselves. Nice snorkling too - although it seems to me that much of this stretch of the coast would benefit from creating an artificial reef (just drop a load of rocks maybe 200 metres offshore, along the line of the rope/bouys and within a few years it would be colonised by corals and fish and provide even more interest for snorklers, in fact even a load of old car tyres would probably suffice - just an idea). Anyway, we had a...
