I did not book this hike through this company. I will not pay 800 pesos for a 6.5 km walk through the jungle. I followed all trails and found it. I crossed what i thought was a cattle fence. I saw a sign that read do not enter without a ticket. I saw a yard ahead and figured there would be someone there to pay a few pesos to let me in. No one was there so i continued on. On my return i was met by a hostile woman, Katja. She was mad i didn’t have a ticket. I did not know you needed to pay this company to go into the eco reserve. She demanded 500 pesos from. I said no and walked away. She screamed and yelled at me as i walked away, swearing at me, calling names. And this is one of their tour guides! The things she was saying to me clearly makes me believe this woman does not like North Americans at all! I would think twice about this company and the ridiculous amount of $ they charge for a short hike through what should be a public park. I love Mexico but getting charged to do anything here is...
Read moreOur experience at Natakari/Rancho Verde was truly magical! It was a great hike through the beautiful jungle near Sayulita; the property is a protected section of old growth jungle, dedicated to preserving the ecology and biodiversity of the land in its natural state. We were picked up by Hernan (and his sweet pup, Vanilla 💕) and driven a short distance to the trailhead, where Katja met us. It was so fun to have the donkeys join us too! On our hike, we learned about the native flora and fauna of the property and were able to ask questions of Katja, who clearly knows and appreciates the land and everything it offers. The agua fresca, fresh fruit, and guacamole and chips provided at the hike’s end were all delicious and had a beautiful presentation. Highly...
Read moreA wonderful way to escape the craziness of Sayulita,.immerse yourself in the jungle, see how the locals live as you walk the road to the ranch. The family went on this tour to support the 2 members that are avid birders and they enjoyed all the sights and sounds as much as the birders. Katja was knowledgeable and easy to chat with. Learned about the trees, insects, and the many birds pieces spotted. Added ivory billed woodcreepers, Mexican parrotlets, Black-hawk Eagle, citroline trogans, masked titrya and many others to our lists. We all recommend...
