I cannot recommend going birding with Vidal enough!! He is an amazing and passionate birder who loves to share his bird joy with others. We began the morning by walking around Sayulita and saw 38 species in just 3 hours! He taught us some history of the birds as well as pointing out the endemic species. He is a skilled birder by both sight and sound. After our walking tour we said goodbye to the couple that joined us and hopped in the car to see raptors! We traveled to agricultural lands to find various raptors, and WOW we hit the jackpot. Vidal was very determined for me to find my target species. We made an extra stop to check for falcons and even stopping on the side of the road to see a Zone-tailed Hawk! I would have never been able to find these birds on my own, without a car and more importantly, without the local knowledge Vidal has from living here and birding for over 20 years.
