While we were staying at the resort, my husband and I decided to get a couple's massage -- I am pregnant, so the idea of the prenatal massage was very appealing. I called from our room to get an idea on pricing and to schedule something. They told me it would be $121 total for the both of us (60 minute). I expected it to cost more than that, so I repeated the price back to her and clarified "Total? USD?" and she confirmed. Because it was so affordable for an hour massage, we opted to take them up on their suggestion of a wrap, as well. I am in accounting and HR, so it's my natural instinct to take notes of amounts, times, locations, etc, I made these notes on the pad by the phone. When we arrived at our appointment, they told us the total would be $821 dollars USD -- we were shocked. We told them that that was so much higher than we were quoted and asked why that was...they said I was wrong. They said she never would've quoted me for that amount. I told them I was CERTAIN, they insisted I was wrong. I told them that we couldn't afford that and that we needed to cancel. They again, very bluntly, told us we were not allowed to cancel because we didn't cancel 6hrs prior. They told us they were going to apply the $800+ charge to our room regardless, so we might as well get the massage. It was so extremely expensive, it was impossible to even enjoy ourselves. It really put a damper on the rest of the day. It was extremely frustrating that they made no effort to make it right. And when I referred back to my notes in the room, it confirmed our expectations...

Massage experience was good, and the use of the facilities was also fine.

We were rushed for no reason through the process. We had an hour use of the facilities included with an 80 minute masage. We went though one cycle before our massage, around 30 min, and for some reason we were so stinking rushed at the end. The locker attendant would not leave us alone to enjoy our massage afterglow in the chairs. She kept pestering us to go. There was no one in the facilities at 2pm (I would have understand if we were taking a chair in a packed place for example) and we were well within our 1hr time to enjoy the facilities.

This spa was a can’t miss! It is tucked away in a quiet park of the resort jungle and a haven. I did hydrotherapy, halotherapy and a herbal massage. Each experience was perfect and details were meticulous. My massage therapist Ylce was lovely, had beautiful energy, and was carefully in tune with my needs throughout the session. Book on a rainy day to hear the rain in the background of your treatment. My only regret is...
